    are you talking about a BBA, or a 56k modem,

    The BBA adapter. It says LAN on the side which is why I put that in the topic header. The 56K modem has LINE on its side.

    LAN adaptor is only for BB access not for game and comes with its own BB Dreampassport disc...

    it's not often pops on ebay but keep watching...

    There was a complete one last week and it went for like $150 I would love one myself, but not at that price!! What is a good going rate for a Broad Band Adaptor for the DC? Please tell me its not $150 USD!!

    There are LAN adaptors and there are BBAs, please don't confuse the two or you could be sorry!

    They have gone for as high as $200 and as low as $75. It's usually above $100 though. I'm hoping for the high side when I put mine up for sale.

    fwiw I sold my loose BBA for over $177 on eBay last year...
    yes the price fluctuates a lot so be patience... if you want to pick one up at decent price.

    Just curious....how can you use these broadband adapters? Can you still surf the web and play games online with the DC?

    if you get BBA yes you can provided you have the right web browser disc and I think there are few private servers for couple of on-line games...

    I am sure I am not alone (judging by this post), but there are many looking for these. Is there a third party that made these in another country or something? I don't know, and it is why I asked, as I am sure that James would be interested in that information as well.

    it is possible and apparently done for using with Linus and all but if you want one for on-line game it's far cheaper to get BBA...
