Depending on how well they are made, I may get more. I am not making any money on them, and didn't think about what a pain in the ass it will be to count each piece out. Hopefully they will come bundled in hundreds.

I just paid for these, and they should be here within a week. Unfortunately, they miscalculated the shipping cost ($50 freaking bucks to ship styrofoam?) So the pieces are $.07 each. I will give first dibs to the people who replied in order for these.

I originally asked for 5.00 worth which would buy me about 72 of them. I am still interested, and if they come in bundles and selling me a bundle is better (75 or 100) whatever, I am flexible. Just PM me when they arrive.

Thanks for sharing with the group

You might want to try gravity, it can more easily remove the cart from the box than your probing, box-misshaping fingers!

I see a money making opportunity.

The guy who finds a cheap way to order poly bag things "like they use for comic books and fold over the back" but in different sizes based on carts for systems and ones that perfectly fit boxed games divided by different systems would make a killing on this board.

Think how cool your NES collection would look with each boxed game in its perfectly sized polybag protective sleeve....

I realize you could probably find these if you looked on sites like Rubbermaid shit or something but the person who aims it at Game collectors and if they are sized right will do good.

Just remember to cut ol sothy in for 5%

Actually if there was enough interest someone might be able to get the people at bagsunlimited interested in making something like that. They specialize in "collection protection" although now it's mainly for records, comics and dvd's. Awhile back when dvds were just starting to take off a member at another forum I used to visit got them to develope a poly bag that would protect the trifold cardboard dvd cases. My memory's a bit fuzzy but I think he had to provide them with exact dimensions and make a minimum order. The dimensions should be easy enough to come up with, and I doubt the min order would be much of a problem if everyone on the board got together to place an order.

How did these turn out? I was going to look into having some made too. Did they use a uniform size foam pellet or different sizes? I must know now!!!

Bags Unlimited may already have a bag that would work. An NES box has a perimeter width wise of about 12 inches, and vertically of about 16 inches. So, with a bit of extra room, a bag that is about 6 1/4 inches wide and 10 inches long, for that fold over flap, should fit pretty well.

    License Plate Bag

This bag is a little long, but is just the right width. Of course, I'm just guessing about the math here. It could be that this bag is completely inappropriate for box storage. But, utilizing a bag that may be a bit long should be cheaper than ordering a custom bag.

They sorta do, I was going to offer the seller money for them if he didnt sell them but his prce was too high for me since they arent all in good shape.

That would be awesome to have all my boxes with the full styrafoam. Only about 16 of my boxes have the little styrafoam.

    Folks,

this is a REALLY old thread..

not sure why someone brought it back from the dead, but the items were made, and sold, and as far as I know, no new batch is being created.

Pity no-one does this sort of thing over here in the UK I'd buy a load, seems too much trouble to get stuff like this sent overseas.

Leon got most of my extras a while back. I do have quite a few of the thin styros left. The problem was that is cost 5-10x the material price to ship these things.

That was me, I wanted to know how they turned out. I had some questions and hoped someone would answer them since I'm thinking of getting some made too. Sorry if it miffed you... this thread will go back to sleep. x_x
