Default Recommended TG16/PC Engine games playable on TE/PCEGT

I've got a PC Engine GT w/ adapter on its way to me this week and I'm curious to hear some of the board member's recommended games. I know a lot of the great and 'must have' type games, but I don't know which games are still highly playable on the GT's small screen.

I love shoot 'em ups, but I've heard not all of them play very well. If anyone out there owns a Turboexpress or GT and can give some first hand recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

Neutopia 1 & 2 are pretty good Zelda clones. I don't know if the TE has a save featrure on it though, because I can only imagine having to play it using those long passwords.

The US version of Neutopia 1 is priced pretty fairly, but Neutopia 2 is one of those outragiously priced rare games, so I'd recommend getting the Japanese version to save yourself some money (like $60.)

The Bonk games show up fairly well, especially Bonk 3. I also recommend Hit the Ice, and Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu. They all have pretty large spritesn

GunHed (Blazing Lazers), Side Arms, Mr. Heli, Galaga 88', Air Zonk (I like it!), and Tatsujin should all play fairly well on the small screen.

    Feel the power.

    Otherwise

Devil Crash (Devil's Crush), Super Adventure Island, Splatterhouse, Nectaris (Military Madness), and Cadash will do the trick on the limited screen real-estate.

Raise the topic from the dead!

One question.... youve asked what PCE/TG16 games you should get for your PCEGT...

Is the PC Engine/TurboExpress Region Free?

(I just got a PCEGT and i cant seem to boot and TG16 games on it.. Just PCE games (Obviously)

    Anyone?

I don't have one so I couldn't tell you from experience but I don't believe any NEC hucard system was region free. You usually have to buy one of those convertors.

Hmmm im still not 100% on this issue...

    eBayAuctionLink

This auction shows a TurboExpress playing R-Type and comes bundled with 3 other games...

ALL 3 of the games are JAP games, so this mystery is really puzzling me...

I can guarantee my PCEGT doesnt play TG16 games right now!
Is it certain models with lockout chips? Certain games region free? or the Turboexpress only region free?

    Anyone?

The ebay seller is wrong, because the JAP and USA hucards have certain pins reversed. There is no lockout on the systems themselves, just the contact traces on the games are differently arranged between regions.
