Has anyone compleated the second quet in the Legend of Zelda. Either on the NES or the new classic series for the GBA? Is there a third quest, or does princess Zelda stay resqued that time?

Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!
Haven't you learned that history repeats itself? There will ALWAYS be a princess to be saved in another castle. No, There is no third quest (that I know of).... Did you get all the secrets? Too bad there isn't a percentage feature on that game, that woulda been neat!

Was there a 2nd Quest for Adventure of Link at all? I remember a NP Classified Information article involving AoL's 2nd quest or something.

There is no third quest, I finally finished the 2nd Quest on the GBA port last year, which was something I have been meaning to do for several years. At first the 2nd quest seems harsh. Yet I notice the blue ring and master sword are easier to obtain this time around.
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
Yes there is, the only difference is you start over again, but with all the items you obtained from the dungeons. (Boots, Hammer, Candle, Raft, etc.)Originally Posted by Kaine23

Since I started the topic I don't feel bad about hijacking it to ask a related question. In the first quest I know where the Master sword is, but at what point in the game can you claim it?

The white sword? I think you only need to beat 4 levels to get it....
The magic sword I thought you could get it after having 5 pieces of triforce...
It's based on the number of heart containers you have. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think it's something like 8 to get the white sword, and 12 to get the magic sword.Originally Posted by Jive3D
Normally I would have the white sword/master sword, when I have obtained the 5th or 6th piece of the triforce. I didn't know that the heart piece containers counted. Yet that's always how it worked for me.

I like to play the first quest, but after finishing the second one, I don´t feel like trying it (and that was almost 2 years ago)
Step Back! This is my blast shot!
When I was younger, maybe I can do it again now, used to be able to get the White sword almost at the start after getting some Bombs (even before the 1st dungeon) in the 1st Quest, and able to beat ganon in both with just the White Sword.
Ahh, the good times.

Wow, you guys are good... I never beat the first zelda ;(
Whats really fun is to try to get as far as possible in Zelda *without* a sword.
Sound impossible? Not quite, there is a great guide over on gamefaqs. Its sorta like playing a whole different quest.
Unfortunately you can get to Ganon but can't slay him without the Master sword.
Hey, jasonlotp beat me to the swordless punch! Check out the Swordless Questing FAQ if you want to try it (go here and click on "Swordless Questing FAQ").
You can also try Zelda: Outlands, a hack of the original game that's practlcally a complete overhaul, with two whole new quests. It's quite impressive. DP member leonk sells cart versions of it.
Close. I believe it's 5 hearts for White Sword, 12 for Magic Sword.Originally Posted by davidbrit2
Hmm...I've beaten Zelda so many times and I've never even tried the second quest. I think sometime this year I'm gonna sit down and work my way through it for the extra challenge. Sometimes the game can already be a bitch, I imagine second quest will give me a headache. I always have a problem with those !@##$ wizrobes. God damn I hate those things. Especially the blue ones =*(.
It's 6 for the white and 12 for the master. On the first quest if you know where the secerts are you can have the white sword and blue ring before finishing level 4.Originally Posted by o2william

Nope, it is 5 for the White Sword, 12 for the Magical Sword.Originally Posted by grimbal

My mind is going. I could have swore that it was 6. I stand corrected.Originally Posted by Kaine23
