I just dug out my copy of Skull Fang and it's got the pictured cover. I bought it used well after release and have never seen different cover art, so I can't say if it's a re-release or not. Do you have a picture of the cover variation that you have? Interesting, this is the first I've heard of this.
the one I have has the cover art similar to PS1 Import where a robot standing holing a gun in one hand...?
