Default help on n64 no mercy

maybe this is just my game or certain games but whenever i create a character not only does it not save to the game but all my championship things get erased. anybody else ever had a problem with this, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

    thanks in advance

yes, thats actually a common problem with no mercy, there was quite a few faulty fcarts of the game out there, where you cannot save your wrestler that you created and it wont save the titles you won.luckly,my copy is fine, but i remember several people complaining about that when the game first came out.

THQ actually offered an exchange back when this game was still sold in stores. I don't think that they would do that now, however.

I think somewhere on Gamefaqs there should be details on it. I was always told it had something to do with a specific point in the champtonship/story mode.

Regardless, still the best wrestling game ever made.

My version of the game had that bug. During the TRU 90% off sale I got another for $0.75, but havent played it to see if it is a bugged copy or not.

It's been so long that I can't remember the details BUT......all is NOT lost. If I remember correctly, the solution to not losing your data involves REMOVING your memory card after loading your custom wrestler and inserting it back in just before saving him again. It's somewhere after load and before save that the game erases your files from your card during gameplay. Don't worry, you can't corrupt the card by doing this on an N64 (that's why it's the world's best gaming console :P ) unless it's in the middle of a save/load process.

I'm sure that a place like Gamefaqs has the exact process recorded somewhere, but I'm pretty sure that I've rembered correctly.
