So have fun, everyone, and share some fond NES memories for me. Hopefully I will be able to make the next one.
Best wishes for your family Moose.

CS, sorry I can't make it..maybe the next one.

    Default NECG

Hi there. I was considering coming to the event but had a couple questions.
    -are any and all welcome?
#1 -Is there any sort of newbie initiation? (i.e. -will there be paddling involved? "thank you sir, may I have another?")

#2 - Is Keystone Lite still considered a beer?

To answer DP I collect NES, Genesis and N64 games, Specifically trying to hunt down Hillsfar for the NES and Genghis Khan for Genesis.

everyone is welcome, as long as you like video games and social gatherings you're good to go. this goes out to anyone reading this, lurkers included, we are definatley not the "cool kids lunch table" type people, i mean we're like video game geeks...

#1 -Is there any sort of newbie initiation? (i.e. -will there be paddling involved? "thank you sir, may I have another?")
uhhh no, but theres an off chance my dog might hump your leg, its not really an initiation but rather a compliment of sorts. i strongly encourage all first time visitors and longtime members alike to bring gifts though...last time i got a castle lego "knights wagon" set !!

#2 - Is Keystone Lite still considered a beer?
what? are you worried about bitter beer face? i suppose thats the sort of stuff you drink all day and not get buzzed off but we encourage you to support sam adams (brewed right here in jamaica plain!). or just bring what you want to drink, mark will no doubt have that weird fruit punch all of our "dry" members find so yummy.

Sorry to hear about your grandparents, moose. Best wishes to your family, and I hope everything turns out alright.

Finally got all the details ironed out. Christian Scott, Adrienne and I will be arriving via the Chinatown bus, which is very close to the orange MBTA line. From there, we can take the MBTA to the forest hills stop. see ya then, everyone!

Regarding what Chris said above: "uhhh no, but theres an off chance my dog might hump your leg, its not really an initiation but rather a compliment of sorts."

Should Cootie not be feeling very friendly Saturday, I'm sure that a few of the regulars might help with the "initiation" for the right price. Just something to keep in mind ; )

For the record, this was *frickin* awesome!

DP, CX2K, Achika, Tetsu, etc from these very forums made their first attendance, and were all very lovely. Kevin and Keir were peachy keen as usual. More will come - including NECG and DP photo coverage. Thrilling!
