    Default Club Nintendo Magazines

I need some guidance - I have the chance to pick up some of these but have no idea what they are/where they came from/what they are worth etc etc

As far as I know they were mailed out to Club Nintendo members but that is where my knowledge ends.....the ones I have the chance to get are the start of Volume 4 I think

    Anyone?

You would be correct. They were sent to members of the Nintendo club. They are all quite rare, since it wasn't a mass produced magazine, only distributed in small numbers to the members. But as you can guess, they became progressively less of a rarity as each issue was released and more people joined up with the height of the NES popularity.

As far as prices go, I've seen the entire set 1-7 go for around $150 to $200 and a single issue #1 above the $100 mark by itself. The last 3 issues #5, 6, & 7 are by far the most common and typically go for under $20 each.

Thanks for the quick answer! Was there any difference between the UK and US versions of the magazine as far as you know?

It's possible but I doubt it. If they had of been sold through stores then there might would have been differences. But since it was a mail away type thing, it was most likely the same issue going to everyone who subscribed. These things really aren't packed with much info anyway. Like 25-30 pages, thats usually counting the front cover as well, and about half is nothing more than advertisements for new games. :-(
