Cave shooting history (brown book with the kanji). The candy, taito bag and 3ds booklet are free swag that came with it. The guy I buy japanese PC games (and this book) from also packs free goodies with every purchase. BONUS!

Some gaming books and a DC game from Red Spot, the guys doing the upcoming Sturmwind.

Latest imports I have bought are The Firemen and Super Mario Collection for SFC, and finally getting a decently priced copy of Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu for FC.

Kaze no Regret for the Dreamcast. Purely to get ahold of D2 Shock though the box art is rather soothing.

Just started playing imports about a year ago. My latest grabs are Marvel vs Capcom 2 PS2, Berserk PS2, Garou Mark of the Wolves PS2 and a Japanese Dreamcast (this was free).

    Yup.

It's the final Konami title to contain the VRC6 sound expansion chip, which made the JP version of Castlevania III sound so sophisticated.

I beat it last night too. The music during the final boss (the Dream Destroyer) is saturated with epic!

So, the Famicom version of Metal Gear is supposed to be rare/valuable?
Sniped a loose cart for $5.50, and I also bought a loose Doraemon for 99 cents.
Forgot to bid on an Astro Boy, though.

$5.50 is a great price! Complete copies go for around $60. No idea about standard price for a loose cart though.

Famicom games. One most of you have probably never heard of, and most of you probably have.

Nice grab with the tsuru pika hagemaru. Definitely one of the slightly lesser known fc games. Pretty cool platformer, but too much chit chat imho.

Japanese / Import PC (some new mixed w/ old)

History of Nintendo book from France (in English however). Really interesting book, especially since most books like these are only in japanese. Everyone knows about the playing card history of Nintendo, but some of the other products they sold are quite a surprise.

I recently got this addition to my CIB Famicom collection: Layla.

I have found the Famicom carts, with the colourful plastic casing and usually smaller design, to be more pleasing to look at than the oversized grey NES carts.

Aside from the dark smudges on the white cardboard seen on the back of the box, I'm pleased with my twenty-five year old game.
