Just for kicks I went to TRU last night.
Picked up Twisted Metal 3 and Spyro: Ripto's Rage for $1.50 each, and Pinball e-reader cards for like 30 cents or something.
Also took my PSP back to Target and returned it. The dead pixels I could live with, but the air bubbles in the plastic over the screen I could not. So I returned it and went to ebgames and bought one there (target had none in stock) and got the extended warranty while I was at it. Unfortunately the new one has either an air bubble or a glob of shit under the screen. Im going to have to return this one too. ANYWAY, while I was at EB, some guy game in with a dualshock controller that he wanted to trade in for cash, so I bought it off of him for $5. Now I have 2 controllers for my PS2.

Yesterday, I got Mafia (XB) for $8 new at EB.
I spent a half-hour trying to figure out whether I should buy Phantasy Star Online III: Card for $15, Lost Kingdoms 2 for $10 or Final Fantasy X-2 for $10 there. I'm still trying to figure that out...
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
Story time!
On Thursday I placed an ad on my local town's webpage asking for old video games. I got several inquiries, but nothing too note-worthy (By the way, if you live in a smaller town, or heck, even a bigger town, I highly recommend that you do this if you're looking for games. I'm still getting offers).
Anyways, one in particular caught my eye. It said, "I have an Atari and 80 games -- make offer." (Don't you just hate when they do that? But, I digress.)
I e-mailed her back and we began conversing about the system. We finally settled on a price, and I made plans to go see her.
Well, I went up there today. <s>The first thing I noticed is that she did not have 80 games, but still, it was a good deal of them. </s> (EDIT: Upon further inspection, it turns out that there were about 80-85 games in the box. Who knew?) And, heck, I only had five. So, I agreed to buy it off of her.
Here's a picture to kind of give you a clue as to how many:
Neat, eh?
She also had a 4-switch Woodie with it along as well. I tested it when I got home, and sadly, it seems to be dead. I'll post more details on that in the Restoration Forum. But, no worries. I just pulled out my Jr. and began to play.
Nothing was really rare in the pile of games, although I did get a handful of R3's though:
Asteroids (Sears Version)
Burgertime
Coconuts
Fast Eddie
Ghostbusters
GI Joe: Cobra Strike
Kool-Aid Man
Porky's
Skate Boardin'
Star Ship
Oh yeah, the final price? $35. Not too shabby, I say.
"I am a cipher, wrapped in an enigma, smothered in secret sauce."
All brand new and sealed:
GBA Classic series:
Metroid - 14.99
Castlevania - 14.99
Dr. Mario 14. 99
GC:
Harvest Moon - NON PC version too! - 19.99
NBA 2K2 - 4.99
Nothing much recently, picked up Nightmare of Druaga today -- I've heard absolutely nothing about this one and figured at the very least it's worth supporting Namco for updating their lesser-known franchises.
Perhaps I'll even play it later.
Nice find at Gamestop:
Resident Evil 2 - GC
9 Holes of Xmas - Xbox
Hunter the Reckoning - Xbox
@ Gapporin: NICE FIND!!
Been a while since I've been here. I must say there have been plenty of changes since I have been gone
Anywho, my "big" find from the past couple months was...
State of Emergency - PS2
Madden 2001 - PS2
Madden 2002 - PS2
Madden 2003 - PS2
NASCAR 2001 - PS2
NASCAR 2002 - PS2
ATV Offroad Fury - PS2
SSX - PS2
Tony Hawk Pro Skater - PS2
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 - PS2
Mario Sunshine - GC
NFL Street - GC
All with DVD cases, cover art, and instruction manuals. Whoever took these to the un-local thrift took great care of them, and was evidently a sports fan. Oh well, for 4 bones each, not too bad of a deal.
PSN: SouthRox
The game I bought from happypuppy came in today, Shining Force III complete.
Nothing big. Picked up loose copy's of Yoshi's Story and Banjo Tootie for 4.99 apiece at Cash Converters.
That was a pretty good idea, Gapporin. Only makes me wish I thought of something like that sooner. May I ask how actually you went about doing this though? Did you e-mail your townhall or something and then placed an add? Would you have a link to your inquirery still?Originally Posted by Gapporin

They have a online classified section which can be found here:
http://shopping.rollanet.org/
Now, my town's pretty big (relatively speaking, of course. Where I live, the population is around 15-20 thousand). A lot of littler towns often visit this webpage for garage sales, want ads, et cetera. In fact, the lady whom I bought the Atari games from lived about 10 miles away from here.
Here's my inquiry:

The neat thing is, is that all the want ads get deleted after 5 days. That way, you can keep checking back every week for fresh garage sale listings. I find it especially helpful that way.
But, for you, I have no idea how you would go about this. I guess you could call your town hall and ask if there is a local webpage of some sort. Or, you could pick up a town publication or welcoming pamphlet and see if they have more information about that sort of thing. And, if worst comes to worst, you could always place an ad in the paper. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!

I scored a Krazy Ace Miniature Golf for the Atari Lynx on eBay. Didn't come cheap (€23) but i still needed that one for my collection and it isn't that easy to find.
