Default Help me choose my next PSP game...

I own twisted metal, wipeout, and lumines. I have my next purchase narrowed down to 2 games, and since I already have 2 driving games I am putting Ridge racer on hold.

My choices are darkstalkers and ape escape.

I love 2d fighters, and was hoping that this is a worth purchase. The onlything that concerns me is replay, becuase the tower mode does not seem like my type of gameplay, I want straightout arcade, so I am fearful of becoming bored with it.

I love platformers and never played the original ape escape, so I was hoping since I never played with the original controls that there was nothing to complain about. If anyone here can back me up on this please do so! I also want a game with alot of replay, so I was hoping for an adventure platformer that would last me a long time.

Help me choose which game to buy next, thanks.

Ape Escape is decent....I have it....I've played better, but it's still a fun game....

I would have said Ridger Racer, but you said that's on hold.

Well I am really looking to expand the genres of games on mhy system, I was never a fan of "real" racing games, only the likes of extreme-g and mario kart etc, and being that I already own wipeout I wanted a different genre game. I was thinking about ridge racer but I think Im gonna hold off on it a bit.

I haven't played the PSP version of Ape Escape, but If it's even half as good as the PS1 version, then it's a must buy. I'd go with that, myself.

I myself only own Wipeout Pure. I'm a big fan of all of the Ridge Racer games, but having played both (and need for speed) wipeout wins for the best current racer.

Honestly, nothing seems to be really grabbing you (or me for that matter, maybe I'm just talking about myself) but since you already own Twisted Metal & Lumines maybe you should just hold off until more games come out (I know it's a wait, but DS owners are used to it! Okay, Okay, I won't go there ) - My opinion is that you have the three best games for the system.

Yes, the DS finally gets not one, not two but three new games! YAY! I picked up the new Poker game because it supports upto 6 players with one card which is nice, but Polaris is multi-card? WTF? And Pac-Whatever is a no go for me.

    Anyways, back to the PSP.

Ridge Racer is sweet, I did not care for Ape Escape that much, maybe it was the constant loading of movies and such but it did not feel like a pick up and play game.

I am enjoying my time with Untold Legends, a nice pick up and go title and have just started with Mercury but I would wait until that one is marked down a bit.

I used to be interested in Untold Legends, but I have no friends with that game and it seems best played multiplayer.
