    Default Great hack'n slay/action-adv GBA-games?

Since I've bought the DS ,my love for 2D (GBA)games is even greater then before cause they look, feel and sound 2 times better on DS than on GBASp.
I'm much "on the road"(concerts...) with my band at the moment and so my only opportunity to game(mainley adventures and stuff) is the DS.
And since the first adventure("Another Code"..can't wait) for DS will be released here(europe) in June(24th) I have to deal with GBA software in the meantime(which isn't a bad thing at all ^^).

I'm now searching for new GBA-food for my DS.
    Mainley hack'n slays with a RPG touch(baldurs gate),action-advs or "pure" adventures.Please NO turn-based RPGs.

    I already have:
Baldur's Gateark Alliance (don't ask me why but I'm somehow addicted to it...finished it 3 times so far)
Shining Soul 2 (half way through....HARD)
All the GBA Zeldas (all finished)
All the GBA Castlevania's (all finished)

anyone can help me out with some suggestions?
    I need more games.

    thanx in advance

Based on your description, Sword Of Mana sounds right up your alley.

I didn't know that there was an Baldur's Gate game for the GBA, how is it? Is it the same as on the PS2? And how's Shining Soul 2, like Secret Of Mana or more like Baldur's Gate? I'm really interested in that genre and I have a GBA, so I hope you don't mind my question?

    CIMA: The Enemy

Really fun action RPG that kinda plays like lemmings. I really couldn't recomend this title more. Puzzle based as opposed to a Secret of Mana type hack and slash.

Shining Soul 2 is also pretty fun, more like Secret of Mana then Diablo (as diablo's distinctive feature was the over whelming number of enemies you were forced to mow down at any given time), although item collection does work a lot like Diablo. Meaning there's thousands of items, some incrediably rare and they're all randomly dropped from monsters. There's also the fusion that kinda works like imbueing. So ok, honestly a cross between the two games. Shining Soul 1 wasn't very good though, so try it only after you've played number 2.

thanx for the replies so far.

    @ Tatsu
Yeah there is a Baldur's Gate for GBA
Its basicly the same as the one for GC,PS2 and box minus 3D graphics(but very nice iso-2D) and some other stuff.
But it IS really fun and strangly addicting.
I got it for 10 euros here in austria.WHOOT

    @ daria

I'll take a look at "CIMA: The Enemy ".
I never heard of it so I guess I'll have to import it.

    @ Gapporin

Sword of Mana is already on my "must buy" list.I haven't found it so far though....damn.

btw: Anyone knows how bad/good "Broken Sword" for the GBA is?
Also: How is the GBA version of "The Hobbit"?It looks promisings on screenshots and I liked the GC version.

    10x (again)

Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers and Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King were both enjoyable Diablo-clones.

Only thing with Baldur's Gate: DA for the GBA: the game ends on a cliffhanger. I guess they were thinking of porting DA2 to the GBA as well, but they didn't.

And I agree: even though I finished BGA on the GBA several times, it's always fun to play (I actually like it better than LotR: Return of the King).

Why? It was released state side by Natsume. I just don't think it was real popular. (:

"styria's fields of war" is a field next to my hometown where hundrets of soldiers were slayed and tortured in world war 1.
    I live in austria btw.

anyways.... I finally found "The Hobbit" and I really recommend it to every act-adv gamer. It's a neat little gem.

I have the MOTU gba game, but I've never played it
It got bad reviews based on the muddy graphics, and lackluster gameplay. like a ripoff of the GBA Baldur's Gate apparently.

Broken Sword is a point-and-click sort of puzzle adventure game rather than an action RPG. Good, but short. (Had a friend who beat it, not me)

i'd go with the boktai series they're sort of hack and slash. i found sword of mana to be too short but a decent game none the less. shining soul 2 is probaly the best one though, and you already have that one

Masters of the Universe is horrible. Do not go near it.

Shining Soul 2 - Very enjoyable

The Hobbit - Decent at best. The other top-down LOTR games are far better.

Both Boktai games are very fun and truly high-quality polished games. Recommended!

Sword of Mana - very good yet a huge let-down for me personally compared to Secret of Mana.

Well, a Baldur's Gate clone in MotU universe sounds good enough to make me happy. Even with muddy graphics, I just love MotU and I will get this game, no matter how bad the reviews and ratings are. Is it supposed to come out in Europe or maybe even out? Get to check the gameshops now... And if it doesn't come out, can you play import games on the GBA? I guess it shouldn't be a problem but im not 100% sure.
