Default 56K warning! AdamG's new Room of Doom pics!

wow... 6 hours of reorganizing, cleaning, trashing, etc.... but it's all set and damn, I have some ROOM! Hell, i have room for a saturn up in here now

I won't redo the poster pics, but here's the new setup:

Here's the "Modern Day" corner. I have my modded Xbox, with the Street Fighter Anniversary stick on top, next to the PS2. Underneath you can see my chibi KoF figure collection... gotta move that PS/2 memory card holder though.

Here's "Cart Heaven", my Sega CDX, NES Toploader, and SMS system, next to the TV. Thank god for A/V switchers. Still slowly working on Phantasy Star II *cough*

Ahh, the A/V modded Odyssey2. Crisp and clear, and yes. That's PICK AXE PETE in there. It doesn't leave that system often

My meager SMS and NES collection, with my quality Genesis collection. I just got the toploader and SMS so I still have a ways to go. The box with what seems like a ripped insert is an otherwise perfect Shining Force II... that some moron decided to turn the cardboard box into an 'insert' and screwed it up horribly. Blah.

My O2 cart collection, everything is boxed and most are complete.

Here's the PS2/PS1/XBOX section, I actually have to tilt the PS1 games in order to get the drawer to close, but otherwise it works pretty nicely.

My NGPC collection, with some box/man orphans underneath that CFC2 box, and a spare complete blue NGPC system kicking underneath there. My only loose carts are a UK Last Blade and a US Sonic. Otherwise all my games are complete. When I get out of some more debt, I'll get back into some more of this glorious system.

Sega CD/32X goodness, although I don't have a 32X system yet. More thanks to Flack for helping me boost this collection tenfold. Gooooood stuff abounds

A blurry collection of my small DC collection, which will now grow that I have a working DC again . But where's the system you ask?

Right here... not the best pic ever, but you can see the VGA monitor which is hooked up to the Dreamcast underneath right by my computer desk. When you see me on VBender... I'm probably playing DC on the side

so that's it for now. I plan on getting a Saturn and 32X in the future to add to this, but not that bad for now, eh?

(by the way, I already hit my 10 posts for the day, )

Cool stuff man, I like how there aren't fifty thousand differemt systems, everything is kind of concise and focused.

Glad to see you've still got all the Sega CD games. You're just really lucky I got desperate during last year's Secret Santa thing at the same time Goatdan's store was having a sale. Wish I had known about your Dreamcast troubles, I think they are destined to become the next Sega Genesis. I am starting to run across them around here for $20 on a regular basis. I bought a spare one just in case. And then another. And another. Good god I hate my brain sometimes.

Man I gotta get one of those Street Fighter sticks.

the SFA stick works fine, although I heard a lot good with X-arcade, even though I personally didn't like it.

impressive the packard bell monitor is still working.

Why do you play dreamcast games on your monitor though when you could play them on your tv instead? Or is the tv far away from the dc or something...

he used that because he has a VGA box....lets him hook up the DC to the computer monitor and get much better picture quality than from a normal TV

    oh...nice collection by the way

Great collection Adam. "Strength where it counts" is how I'm going to sum up this one. Like the others here, I also very much dig the Street Fighter stick. It almost looks like it's in danger of crushing the Xbox underneath it, if such a thing is possible!

Nice work man, but the nicest part of everything that you showed would be the SMS carts... I dont know why, but for some reason I am all of a sudden compelled to collect those damn SMS carts... Nice work none-the-less

Glad to see you're still enjoying the KoF figures.

You are a bastard for having CFC2 though. I love the pics, they're making me want to take pics of my stuff since I just got rid of about 600 games....

Ahhh, thanks. Is the picture quality really that much of an improvement? So much that it's worth down sizing on screen size?

Do you have an overall picture of the unit when all the drawers are closed and everything is put away? Nice collection btw =)

$125 shipped. I didn't get it cheap (although that isn't exactly top price for it either) but I got it. It was worth it to me

As for the unit when it's closed... it's a kinda nasty looking brown wooden bureau. I didn't take a pic because it's rather meh, but it does the storage job. Someday I'll strip it and repaint it.

As for the VGA box, since I don't have component or any of the other super-picture style setups with my TV, the VGA box is a marked improvement. Plus, I have a decent set of computer speakers hooked up to the VGA box as well, so the sound is a lot better than I'd get out of my TV as well.

Berzerker - thanks for noticing, my collection is based on quality over quantity, mainly because I have neither the room or money to really go for anything complete. Still, I get a lot of use out of it

Thanks for all the comments folks!

You get a much better picture from the VGA monitor than a tv. For some reason, 9 times out of 10 when I see a system hooked up to a VGA monitor, it's a Dreamcast. Is the box you're running it through Dreamcast only?

nice stuffs, adam. WAIT! WHERES THAT 2600?!!?!!
that sfa2 stick looks incredible. It's on my list of crap to get.
Concise, yet great. For some reason, I miss having the old huge ps2. :\ *glares at $10 slim ps2* (yeah, i rock.) Why I got rid of my v7 for this...
Oh, and I suggest that if the wooden drawers are giving you pain, either build some, or head down to your local kmart/walmart/whatever with a twenty or less, and get some plastic drawers. Much taller....much more room.

Agreed! I got into Culdcept through the manga, and was lucky enough to find a copy of Culdcept for $20 at Gamespot. That game is crazy awesome.
