    Default Stadium Events Complete

alright, just got online and noticed a complete copy of SE on ebay. before you start bitchin to me about posting this, please don't. This game is going to go for a lot of money regardless if it was posted here.

I am just a little curious though. How legitimate do you guys and gals think this is? I am just wondering because the picture is really really small. Could he have taken these images from other sources? Not sure and i am in NO WAY SAYING HE HAS DONE SO. I just want to get other peoples reactions.

Below i posted a link to all the sellers auctions. He has some DAMN nice NES stuff, but the pictures are EXTREMELY SMALL.

Why would anyone bitch about you posting it here? As you said, collectors would have found these on Ebay anyway and they would go for high prices nomatter if they are posted here or not. Thanks for the link btw, I wouldnt have searched for these titles if you havnt posted

Something doesn't seem right about these auctions. He lists the auction for Myriad, even giving the number, but the pics clearly show it is Caltron.

Something else I wondered about: Why didn't he used the picture of the complete Stadium Events for his gallery picture? I just think that's weird.

Either a scammer or he just steals pictures. The Mr. Gimmick pictures are both stolen from my site.

    Ace.

Edit: The Caltron scan is also from my site.

Might be.. I sent the seller a question if I could get some bigger pictures. Might also be that the seller doesnt have a digicam.

It looks like he purposely made the pics of the box smaller so you cannot tell if it is US or PAL.

    Anyway $16 for shipping.

I just noticed almost every pic has a different background.

$16 is probly shipped with insurance and signed. Sending a game that is worth several of 100 dollars without insurance is stupid.

The so-called tengen tetris also has a nintendo tetris box. These auctions are extremely fishy.

Never assume anything on eBay. Since he also refuses to combine shipping, I'd be more likely to think that he's price-gouging than adding unstated insurance costs.

These auctions smell like a scam...just my personal opinion. Like it has been said earlier, the "Myriad 6-in-1" auction has pics of the Caltron box & cartridge (if he's selling the item he would surely know what it really looks like)...all the pics seem to be different sizes/quality...then someone on here mentioned that the Caltron & Mr.Gimmick pics were stolen from his site...even if he has a bunch of positive feedback...some scammers build up a bit of credibility before they make their big scam. If he were a respectable seller, then he would have surely asked for permission for those pictures if he didn't have a digital camera or scanner. It's also fishy that he doesn't state the game's region; some of the games are clearly PAL and not NTSC.

    Just my 2 cents

wow, i am really glad i wasn't the only one who thought these looked outta place. I found all of his auctions through the self automated email thing that ebay offers. I have all sorts of "myriad" searches and was extremely curious about that one as well.

Anyways, who knows, maybe they aren't a scam, but wtf. The rarest NES games and no good pictures to boot.

If I am to be buying really rare shit for top dollar you better have some DAMN nice pictures. the pictures like v1rich had for SNES auctions were perfect

well... guess we will just have to wait and see what this stuff ends up for and if it was a scam or not.

I don't think that is the case. That manual is definately NTSC, but the box... since i don't own one i have no clue. I'd say NTSC.

I am just wondering if that is the same picture from the last SE that sold on ebay, only scaled down. Anyone save that picture by chance?

The box in that picture is NTSC. The PAL SE game & box have an oval Nintendo seal with a white background, whereas the NTSC SE game & box have a circular Nintendo seal with a transparent background (quite sure). But then again, the pic is likely ripped, so the boxed SE could still be PAL. I mean, the Myriad 6-in-1 looks a lot different than the Caltron 6-in-1, and yet the seller still uses a ripped pic of the latter....

if every auction has a different background, thats a dead giveaway, caution these ones guys, Im sure a few hundred bucks to this guy is worth a possible negative.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the different background for every single picture. His copy of Little Samson is PAL too. I also really love how his picture for Bubble Bobble 2 is of the rare R7 version, but when you open the actual auction, its really a PAL version of Rainbow Islands.

It isn't any single auction by itself I find fishy, it's more the fact that he has all these rare NES games up for sale at the same exact same time.
