wow I have my updated Tecmo Super Bowl carts and now I'll have an updated NES to play them on. I hope this sells well and they have an updated SNES in the works.

I don't even collect NES games and I want one!

I will buy this just to play Jackal, Thundercade and Felix the Cat! (some faves from my old nes days)

    I got a reply re: S-video:

    Hello,

The old software won't support S-video. We could have converted the AV outputs to S-video but it would have added a lot of cost to the retail price point and it would not look any better than the AV. We would have had the connection but no benefit.

Thanks for you interest in Messiah!
    Brad
So that explains why I can't find an S-video mod for the NES, I guess. Doesn't really explain how the Titler works though.

I am loooking forward to it, and its pretty cheap for a console these days, consoles are running $300 and over, this is only $60. Can't wait.

even though i already have a top loading nes and a regular nes,i might still order one of these just for the cool factor it would add to my gameroom.

Well it explains why the Titler can have an S-Video output. It just has no real effect on picture quality according to Messiah.

edit {{can they sell this in stores ? - do they have a licence?}} - i see this was answered already

like gametech has for the neofami

i thought all nes games were mono

whats with all the nes clones anyway - start making some sms clones

if this is a legit product - and becomes real sucessfull - i hope some companies start releasing new games for it -- or come out with dev kits for hobyests to try making games -- i know id take a crack at it

60$ is pricey when you can get a neofami for 30$ including the shipping

Expect these to be available in some Canadian stores if I can help make it happen.

Beautiful product, and a great idea.

Except it supports both NES and Famicom formats in one, and has built in wireless support. If it is better built in terms of audio output and RF shielding, it's going to be worth every penny.

    It looks great, too.

I'll be getting one just for the famicom and wireless.

Wish I could get one at CGE, but I won't be able to make it. Guess I'll just have to buy it online then.

To paraphrase Peter Griffin, my God, this idea is freakin' sweet. If I hadn't recently acquired an A/V Famicom and Fami-NES converter, I'd have bought this thing in a heartbeat. Now I'll have to think about it. I might pick one up anyway just to help support the company -- it's an awesome idea and I'd love to see it applied to other consoles. If Messiah produces something like this for the TG16/PCE, I'll be first in line.

Congrats! Is this a good time to be a retrogamer or what??

This sleek little machine will be a great addition to my standard toaster and the top loader. For this price certainly worthwhile.

I'll buy one for sure: To play American releases plus Famicoms plus my European cartridges (still have around ten of them) w/o an adapter is great; the rumble feature is a small one, but a very appealing one; and I wanted to pick up the wireless controllers anyway for some time.

I owned a titler and had it hooked up to my 42" tv. The picture was much sharper.

Anyway, I'd would pay the premium if it had s-video output. Otherwise, since I already own an AV fami--I'm set.

That's pretty much where I stand too, though every day I consider buying a Titler just a little more.

    According to reports from http://www.mcw.edu/gcrc/cop/cell-pho...h-FAQ/toc.html

A review of the epidemiology of RF energy from the International Commission for Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) Standing Committee on Epidemiology [219] concluded that: "Results of these studies to date give no consistent or convincing evidence of a causal relation between RF exposure and any adverse health effect".
