Default Billy Mitchell "Perfect Game of Pacman"

Does anybody remember watching that show where they documented Billy Mitchell the "Perfect Game of Pacman" guy? He said he was working on his next big thing (after finally finishing a perfect game of Pacman) but he wouldn't tell what it was. Did he ever do it? Was he just trying to get past the 256th level split-screen?

IIRC Mitchell's next goal was to get a perfect game of Ms. Pac Man under his belt. Since the ghosts in Ms Pac Man have a little but more random behavior, coupled with the changing mazes, this seemed like an appropriate challenge.

Has he done it yet? I don't know. I think we would have heard something from Twin Galaxies if he did. And if he ever does then all I've got to say is

the other big obstacle in ms pac man would be that after the banana stage, the fruit is random, however there seems to be a school of thought that one can manipulate what fruit you get, therefore a true perfect score can be achieved by eating all bananas through the end of the game.

I've never seen it, but congrats on Billy Mitchell's perfect game.

That was an episode of MTV's True Life - I'm A Gamer. I got it on tape somewhere. I thought he was working on a perfect game of Missile Command. In the segment at the end where he's talking about the next record he's going to beat, they show him bringing a Missile Command machine into his house. Could have just been for his personal collection though.

A perfect score on pacman? In addition to all the pellets and fruits would that mean all 4 ghosts on each power pellet? That's fricking incredible! I swear on the later rounds the ghosts start flashing a second after you eat the thing.

MTV doesn't know nothing about videogames so screw MTV. Enough said.

I was being sarcastic. I liked it allot actually. Especially how they followed the Golden Tee and Unreal Tournament world champions around and showed them competing. I felt sorry for the people living in that gaming clan house though.

I must have been having a bad day because I remember thinking "man...I wish I could sit around playing games all day."

They also didn't have much of an appreciation for older games.

Mitchell tried to teach me the PacMan strategy at last year's CGE. The man has Jedi-like control over the ghosts. It's ridiculous. On the early levels, he doesn't even has to try and can still put every ghost right on top of each other a centimeter from the power pellet.

Referring to the "it was on the MTV show" thing going in this thread, I could have SWORN that G4 had it on much much much earlier than MTV ever did, and it was like an hour or so long documentary on it. MTV used to be for music, and I don't think gaming has much to do with music.

But no, I don't recall him actually stating what his next goal was, just he was going after something else, suppose we'll find out when he does it. I hope it won't end up being a disappointment, like the Segway was

    Segway? What's that?
I don't think I had G4 back then so it would have to have been MTV. Especially since I remember all the other poeple from the show. (the clan living in the house together and gaming in shifts between work.)

Yeah, I remember watching that. And the one where all the guy did was play games in his house and would even go home on lunch breaks to play. He was late back to work at the hotel he worked at one day.

Didn't that kid they were following in the Unreal Tourn. win it. And wasn't it like 10,000 he won, or maybe it was even a little more?
