    Default Encyclopedia of Famiclones!

Forgive me if this has been posted before - I searched for it and didn't see anything.

Someone has gone and cataloged all the Famicom clones! The site lists 300+ different ones, most with pictures. It's really cool to be able to see all the ones from different countries.

This is very interesting. I can't believbe how much pirated garbage has been made in order to replicate the Famicon. BTW, the Pikachu art on Advance Boy... HILARIOUS!!!

I cannot believe how many differnet famiclones there are. Is the Famicom a really easy piece of hardware to replicate? If it is I think it would be really cool to build one in your own garage.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

Interesting that Game Theory Admiral isn't on that list.

Yeah, I've seen this list before. It's actually missing quite a few Famiclones, but at least it already has a large selection to look at. There is also a Spanish website with a list of somewhere between 200 and 300 Famiclones on the web...I lost the bookmark to it unfortunately. My guess would be that there are between 500 and 700 Famiclones out there. I used to collect them, until I realized that there is no end to it....pointless really...as they are still being made and sold all around the world.

I'm always looking for new boxed NES accessories. If you've got any for sale, shoot me a PM!

I just love this guy's comments:

    Regarding the ABC-999 Famiclone.....

    "Vroom! Vroom!

    It's a car, it's a Famiclone!

    Wow.

The "headlights" are the power and reset buttons, the "windshield" is the eject button. It looks like it's made of some kind of clear plastic, although I doubt it lights up or anything. The guy from Assembler said it was one of the cheapest Famiclones he'd ever seen. I have a zit in my armpit, right where I can't reach it with both hands. Godammit I hate that shit.

    Avalible in South America (Brazil.)"

@ the comment about the 'zit in the armpit'.

Now what does that have to do with Famiclones?

Hawanja is a nice fella, I'll point him in this direction. I'm sure he'll like to hear that his website is awesome (because it is).

    Neo-Geo game.

Oh and someone should tell this guy the IGS Polygame isn't a Supergun, nor is it compatable with NeoGeo MVS or Capcom CPS. And Key never made Atari carts. Probably more, but I'm not a proofreader.

Yeah yeah, so I'm not the best speller.... but the famiclones are cool! My favorite ones are the mixed up ones. The ones that look like a ghetto playstation, have a genesis controller and a zapper gun.

This reminds me that I have a couple really interesting Famiclones that I need to sell sometime soon. They came with some special controllers to play weird activity games (Soccer with a leg controller and ping pong with paddle controllers) and special carts. Interesting, but I don't really need them sitting around anymore...

Hey everybody, glad you liked the site. As you may have noticed it's a work in progress. I still have like 500 pics to put up and update once a week so check back often.

And as Captian Wrong pointed out, there are a lot of mistakes. Please feel free to point them out to me. I really do want to make the site as accurate and comprehensive as possible.

One gripe I have with Hawanja's site. The Sharp Famicoms, the Famicom Titler, Famicom Twin and Famicom TV are legitimate, Nintendo-licensed Famicoms containing real Nintendo chips and a Nintendo level of compatibility. They shouldn;t be mentioned in the same breath (or price range for that matter) as all other pirate-junk Famiclones.
