I have the first prototype Super Gameboy. I'm pretty sure it is the only one on earth. I'm thinking about putting it on ebay....does anyone have an idea what it might be worth?
Thanks in advance!

Looks japanese, is that its country of origin?
Very sweet, good luck on the auction!

Wow that thing is a beast! Reminds me of the Powerbase Converter for the Genesis. I hope you do well by it's sale.
Just a thought, but since this is in reference to ebay-auction shouldn't it be in that forum?
Since you are just asking for a price and have stated you are putting it up on ebay, I am going to move this to Video Gaming for more exposure.
When you end up putting it on ebay, please make a thread in the Everything Ebay forum for it so we can all drool
Ebay will probably cancel this auction since it is a proto. sometimes they won't catch it if worded correctly though. Please send us the link when you do post though!

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Wild ass guess (my astronomy professor used to call these WAGs, I haven't thought about that in years): $500
Awesome!
If you want cash for this then i think the über Snes collector Cruzway (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/prof...profile&u=5074) is your best bet!

It looks very similar to the gameboy cartridge writers that they use to write ROMS for testing purposes. Are you sure it's a prototype, and not a dev system?
Actually, it looks like this is a proto for the Super Game Boy 2 (Import Only)
Note the "ver 2" label, and the link port. The link port was only available on the SGB2
Looks great man it worked for sure, now if you paste the link in your reply next time light it up and click on the Img button then the pics can be seen in your reply like this.Originally Posted by Lastgoodguy

List it on ebay, but also post about it in the ebay sales section of the ASSEMblergames forums.

There are people over there who are both *very* interested in dev equipment and they have lots of cash. You'll want that community watching your auction.
That is far too large to be a SuperGameboy, or even a Supergameboy 2. That thing is huge! It's bigger than the original Gameboy. My bet is going to a debug unit. probably used to test carts on a TV instead of the gameboy's tiny screen. Definately not for the US, the cartridge base is curved like a Super Famicom.
