Default Daily proto-dev-grail-interest finds 1st page for how to

Welcome to the tasty ebay auctions thread

In this topic we must put all the top items that may be considered as discoveries!

Check HERE for in-depth commercial version!

I am italian, so my engrish will not be perfect. :P
I will try to check for interesting auctions as frequently as I
can, but if you find something just post it!
The gudelines are: prototypes (alpha, beta, hardware and
so on), interesting demos (only the best), competition
carts, debug-develop items, unusual promo stuff, really
rare and known items (no Radiant Silverguns here!)
and rare items that nobody consider rare.
My search list is always growing!
    Enjoy!

HOW DO I PERFORM MY SEARCHES? updated 9 jan 2007

Recently some members asked me how do I perform my
searches. They ask me if I use a specific program or an
    auction manager.
Well, dear friends, all my work is "handmade"!
I've made various different strings, like:

((hudson caravan, caravan festival, yokai dochuki gold, all
stars power league gold, gunhed special, final soldier
special version, bomberman users battle, darius alpha,
summer carnival, spriggan carnival, spriggan tournament))
-design -plate -plates -rekka -doulton -african

I put these string, one by one, in the search page.
Some strings work in All Categories, some in Videogames. Some in both title and description. Some just title. In any case I check also eBay stores.

At the moment I have about 80 ot these strings, with
much more than 300 definitions. But these strings are updated every
time I found new definitions. So you search for "prototype"
then you discover "proto", then "prototyp"...then you start
searching OUTSIDE the videogame section and you have to find keyword that must be eliminated...

Every day I spend about 30 minutes, but I am, at the
moment, more accurate than any auction managers
because I've more chances to find "hidden treasures" since I am not a bot.

I check also other forums, not to copy the finds, but to see
why I didn't spot the auctions and to learn which new
definitions must be added to my strings.

I usually search over ebay.com. Searching over other eBays
would take too much time, so I do it only occasionally.

Lately I've added another important feature: since eBay deletes ended auctions after a while, I edit all my posts after the ends, adding seller, winner, price...All this will create a database. Furthermore I'm adding the name of the seller of auctions not yet finished but that may be closed by eBay (protos, dev stuff...) so it may be possible to contact the seller.

WHY DO YOU DO ALL THIS?

    I don't know. Hahahaha!

    Disclaimer:

-This thread is intended to show really strange, unusual
and interesting auctons for the community to buy and to
learn. You may post what you are selling, I am not a
moderator and I have no power at all, but if your items are
not the kind of items that usually appear in this
thread...well, you will be judged by the other members. I
personally dislike to see people posting here "rare" items
just for publicity. If you are selling a Nintendo World
Championship cart, it's your duty to post here. But if you
post a "SUPER RARE SMB FAC SEALED"...may the Eternal
    Shame© be with you!

    Nicola

Did you really have to quote him Nes-a-holic? :/

Nice finds though. I like anything Dreamcast related at the moment.

No, I am not a girl, Anagrama, if that's what you're referring to.
Also on the neo geo forum a boy tryed to "meet me". I told him that "if I am a girl, you're a Master System player". (no rancour for MS lovers )

Anyway, if you like my finds, I may update this post every 1/2/3 days, depending on what I have to do. Every month I'll make another topic to avoid long topics with confused replies. Ok?

let's add something not dev but vg related pieces of toons:

    animation cels from:

    sonic
    http://search.ebay.com/sonic-cel_W0Q...trypageZsearch

mario bros (mario lemieux is not interesting. More interesting is the trailer from smb movie)
    http://search.ebay.com/mario-animati...trypageZsearch

    Dragon's Lair
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WD1V

    and

http://search.ebay.com/dragons-anima...fsopZ1QQfsooZ1 (two sirectly from the game!)

    space ace
    http://search.ebay.com/space-ace-ani...trypageZsearch

I find these interesting, framed on a wall of my room of doom (one day I'll have one...)

    next, something unusual:

    Nintendo Educational Cards Featuring Mario

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

in the end, easely a preview Secret Weapons Over Normandy for ps2 (description is confused, I may just imagine a dvd with an EPROM soldered on it...)

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

P.S. In Italy Nicola is a male-only name!
