Default "I think I'll use benzene to clean my cartridge"

My cousin and I used to laugh about the warning labels on NES and later cartridges, warning you against using benzene (among other things) to clean your cartridge with.

Is that something you would normally pick for a cartridge cleaning agent?

"Shit! My Nintendo is blinking again."

    (drive drive drive)

"Hmm...alcohol...lacquer thinner...mineral spirits...BENZENE! That outta do the trick!"

I tend to use a combination of sand paper, open flame, napalm, industrial incinerators, and tactical nuclear strikes. You gotta watch out for that benzene, though.

i use a belt sander and some kerosene. it works like a charm.
nitrogycerin also is good for removing the goops from price labels.

I've used steel wool. Seriously. The leads were corroded and the cart didn't work, so what did I have to lose?

Why would anyone want to clean off perfectly good dirt or price stickers?

I prefer the almighty stain remover, COCA COLA! But prefer it in its new formula with LIME! I use it to degrease my engine and make it look top notch for all those car shows (side note: my car is a piece of shit) But for those hard to remove stains, benzene is always the best choice.
