Default Complete Japanese MD & 32X Collection

Since some people did not "believe" me when i posted a scan of each "rare" japanese MD game, when i told i own EVERY Japanese MD release,as well as 32 X release ( and you'll see i own too MANY other complete collections ) i decided to post here the same pictures i posted on a french forum whent hey asked me to.
If you can read japanese, you'll see that i indeed have ALL japanese md releases,as well as some "unreleased/homebrew"games such as Divine Sealing, Tekken VS Street Fighter,etc..i classify games by japanese alphabetic..

I own around 15-20 COMPLETE collections, this is not my single one

Holy muffin-velvet waste products of the 31st century! That's astonishing. Congratulations on being so utterly awesome!

Do you have a room-of-doom to show us?

    No,i don't
itis VERY easy to get a "room of doom" full of not valuable games..i could buy lots of nes games for $1 a piece..

This MD&32X complete collection is worth $30000

and my complete PC engine Hucard/SCD/SCD complete collection is worth the same price or so,considering i do have around 250 games factory sealed in this collection..the 7 caravan hucards, Darius alpha complete with 3d Glasses AND certificate Letter AND Nec Avenue Padded Envelope...i have too some valuable turbo duo games like Dynastic Hero...

As told earlier,i do have around 20 complete collections...i'll be able to post later pics of other collections...

but i can' make ONE room of doom with all i have...it'd be more like an APARTMENT of doom

    Yes,of course i do have a "pirate" Tetris for MD,the "common"pirate you can see,worth $100 or so...

I do know existence of Tetris cart for $4000 or so,but i still don't consider it much legitimate than pirate Tetris..for me,even if the box is nicer, there is instructions,etc...it is not official either.[/list]

The last pirate Tetris on eBay sold for about £10, not $100.

And I don't know how the genuine one can't be considered 'official' - sure, it was never released, but it was programmed & manufactured by Sega.

But hey, Tetris or no Tetris, that is one sick collection

I took the 10000 Yens price i generally it goes for in japanese auctions, when it comes with box...
Whatever..i do have this one,not the 400000 yens one

But i saw some Maximum Carnage going for 120000 Yens...Batman Forever for 70000...and WWF Raw for 60000 EASILY...

I spoke with an UK collector, and he thought such complete collection ( along with all Mega CD jpn games ) was worth 20000£...which would do around $40000

    That's why i said $30000,it's more realistic...considering i do have all hardware too ( MD,MD2,Mega Cd,Mega CD2,Mega Jet,etc..even the famous Aiwa Mega CD Radio/Tape/CD player in box,which is worth $700 easily )

I seriously doubt anyone would pay 30,000 dollars for this. It *might* be worth that in your eyes, it *might* be worth that in mine, but you'll never get that.

Anyone care to disagree with me on this one?

Don't worry, I'm not doubting the overall value

And I'm surprised a pirate cart fetches that much in Japan - I'll have to keep an eye out for them now to try trading with my Japanese contacts

Also, I heard from someone else that another genuine Tetris changed hands a while back for around 900,000 yen (!) in a private deal, but I don't know how reliable that is.

I agree very few ppl on this earth would pay such money at one TIME
However,by selling my games one by one, meaning the 418 MD games, the 18 32x ones, the 114 or so Mega CD ones ( and many are Factory Sealed ), plus some rare unreleased ones ( i do have some rare Sega CD/Mega CD prototypes like Force Striker Alpha ), and ALL pieces of hardware,i do think i could get $30000 yes
That sounds realistic...just consider 8 acclaim games would be worth $5000 easily...

That's assuming that you're selling in one bulk lot which would be pretty stupid since it seriously limits the potential buyers - like anything else, the maximum return would be had by breaking it down and selling piece by piece.
Without sitting down and working out a rough total, I don't think $30K would be too far off the mark - there's a heck of a lot of pricy JP MD games
