A few weeks ago, I found a back for the GBC I have. When I purchased it for $4.00 some weeks ago, it had the usual Tape and Cardboard back.
I found it by chance at the local Radio Shack. Even the employees did not know it was there; I just checked hoping to get lucky. But there, at the bottom right, it was, for $1.97- a proper back for it. It was clear.
Just last week, at another second-hand store, they had, under the counter, one of those "worm lights," again for the GBC. I got it for $1.00. It took a bit of work, but- it works well enough.
What's more, it was purple!
If you own a GBC, this thing is something you really should have. While it does not equal the backlight ability of the GBA SP, once you get the hang of it, it works out very nicely indeed.
They also had- believe it or not- GBC games! Unfortunately, they were all Pokemon or "cartoon-inspired" games, except for one- UNO. Since I have no idea how to play it, all I could do was just mash some buttons and hope to get somewhere. But the real reason was to see what a GBC game actually looked like, rather than playing a GB game that was colorized. It was very impressive; Towers ought to be very good indeed.
Sadly, my luck finding ColecoVision games "in the wild" is all but gone. The last decent find was back in 2000, when I stumbled across a lawn sale with a ColecoVision, some games, and a Roller Controller with Slither.
