Default NEED HELP on Super Metroid!!!!!!

I've been searching and searching for the power bomb thing. After about an hour looking for it I went online and went to Game Faqs. The walkthrough there cofused me cause I hardly know any of the enemies names. So can anyone here help me?

    Thanks in advance.

GET THE POWERUP TO PLAEY THE GAM, AND WIN

Alternatively, start beating bosses. Where you stuck at?

I'm in Brinstar and I already have the missles and super missles. Oh and the Morphing Ball/bomb. But I can't find the power bomb. I've already beaten the thing that swings and opens up and you have to shoot it with the regular missles.

I can't get anywhere without the power bomb thing. Cause I run into yellow doors. I remember that the power bomb can only open those doors.

One thing you can do is to start all over and follow a walkthrough on gamefaqs.com i.g. Then play to the point where you get the powerbomb and take it from there.

I remember I got really stuck here last time and had to find a map online to get the damn superbombs. Which is odd, because I've beaten the game 5-6 times anyways.

Just google super metroid map in quotes.

Maps didn't help much. Okay whoever provides some pics and info on it first, I'll give them 150 Meseta.

I don't know if this helps at all, but from Metroid Database:
I've only been playing for a little while. I'm in Brinstar. I can't find the Power Bombs to open the orange doors. What do I do?

    Answer:
Super Metroid is an adventure game, meaning you don't necessarily have to clear one area to move on to the next. Don't worry about the orange doors in Brinstar just yet. The Power Bombs are not yet accessible to you (unless you are a master of Wall-Jumping), so come back this area later when you do have the Power Bombs and can check out the orange doors. For now, move on and go wherever you can. If you've gotten as far as you can in Brinstar, why not go see what Norfair has to offer? Remember to pay attention to your subscreen map!

    There's maps here: http://www.classicgaming.com/mdb/sm/maps.htm

And the PNG map on this page is very well done: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/game/588741.html

Thanks for the info. I've already seen the maps but you still get the 150. Thanks.

Just tossing another thought out there... is it possible to get complete stuck in this game? And I don't mean really hard to get out like that one pit where you have to wall-jump out... it was a while ago and I got frustrated and quit, but just after killing that swining plant described above, I can't get out of that area hehe.

You get the Super Missiles quite early in the game, and the Power Bomb much later, so you need to go check out more areas. You should have the dash before you get the Power Bomb, f'rinstance.

The good old Nintendo Power guide maps should help, if you can find them, but the better thing to do is to look through some areas for obvious things you haven't seen yet. You'll need to do lots of backtracking here.

I hate that damn wall jump. It's so hard to do. :/ I've been trying to master it but still have no luck.

Yeah, the wall jump is definitely the hardest part of the game for me.

The first time I attempted to play through Super Metroid about 10 years ago, I made the mistake of saving at the save point before you have to do the wall jump. I had to get my cousin to do it for me. Now jump to late 2003, when I found a loose cart at a CD/Game Exchange for $10, I made a goal to finally play through, beat the game, and nail that wall jump. After about half an hour, I finally got it right.

But, I still haven't completely gotten it down. If I don't play the game for a while, it will take a good 20-30 minutes to get it down again.

But despite that pesky wall jump, Super Metroid is an amazing adventure. Don't give up, because it's definitely a rewarding experience, and imo, the best game of all-time. Good luck!

One last thing - if you intend to go back after you beat the game and try to get all the items you missed, DO NOT save at the last save point on Tourian before you get to Mother Brain. You'll see why.
