    Default touchy power connectors: causes/fixes

I've had a few systems come my way that have had touchy power connectors. I have an SMS that has a particularily bad case of this. To the point where I've had to tuck the wire under the system just to get it to work right. Forgive me if I'm not explaining this well but it's the best I can do. What causes these kind of problems and is there an easy fix?

resolder the 3 connections, i find this 80% of the problem.
My life and perception has changed, but my principals are the same.

Yeah, that sounds right. I've had to do that same fix on a Coleco Gemeni and an atari 2600, it's very easy to do.
