first let me just give you a little background on Magnetic Scrolls. They are what Infocom was to the US to the UK. They set out to make the best text adventures ever created, and they did.
They also had some very talented artist working under them. From the start of The Pawn, you will get sucked into the great imagery. The parcer they created could understand extremely complex wording like, "put the red robe on then walk into the kings chamber" where Infocom games never went above, "turn on lamp."
Unfortunately the programmers at Magnetic Scrolls were really good to and only the C64 version of "The Pawn" actually got cracked. The games, if emulated, ask you to check "page XX, line XX, word XX" at random threw out the game and if you don't have the 120 page manual then your SOL.
Anyway, fast forward to now and someone has created a parcer for Magnetic Scrolls games.. sort of like a emulator for just the data..
Please do yourself a favor and give The Pawn, Wonderland, Jinxter, Myst and The Guild of Thieves a look. They were the best IF (text adventure) games ever created.
