Default $3 Mad Catz GameCube memory cards at Wal-Mart...

This seems to be the new in-store list price for them since they haven't been moving like hotcakes. I picked one up last night. I know someone here will disagree that this was a good purchase because they're not Nintendo-brand, but I've never had a problem with the Interact ones and I own, like, 5 of those...
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

I bought one and it was broken out of the packaging, even after reformatting. Now I only buy 1st party memory cards.

They've worked fine for me, zero issues after several years.

I've got tons of gc games, but for some reason only three memory cards and one came with animal crossing. Maybe I can make myself my a couple this time.
All my meseta if you can guess what CMTZ stands for.

I've got a Nyko 64 Mb memory card I got for my GC when I first bought it. Never had any problems with it, and I still have something like 400 blocks free.

I had a terrible experience with a third party PS2 memory card I got, though. You had to swap out your game disc for thier boot disc every time you wanted to save or load from the card. Worthless.
Still a gamer, still a liberal.

These were clearanced out of my Walmart probably 2 months ago. I have one word for these: craptacular. Actually that's a little harsh. They do work, just sometimes you have to "reinsert" them so that you don't get a "memory card is corrupt message". For me, personally, that's not good enough for my precious game saves. So I wouldn't recommend buying them.
