    Default PS2 Noise....

I've been having this problem for about a month now. Well, when I turn on my PS2 it loads up and stuff. But then it starts making a loud noise, that sounds like a series of continual clicks. It does this no matter what game I put in! It plays, but that noise drives me crazy! What's going on here?

    Slipping gear.

You need it serviced, unless you have a new gear (the correct one for your version PS2) and are comfortable readjusting the drive camber so it won't eat the new gear as well.

If repair doesn't sound good to you then trade it in to a game store before it craps out and pick up a PSTwo or a new PS2. Check around and go for the cheapest option but as omnedon pretty much said, get it taken care of as soon as you can.

That repair is about $45-$50 US, same warranty as new.
I also buy broken systems as well.

Of course not, shaft the evil conglomerates, not the indie little guy.
