Default FS: How to Beat Home Video Games 3 DVD Sets (1981 Vestron)

I am making sets of this OOP VHS title available on DVD. Each volume will be on it's own DVD to ensure maximum quality. The quality of the video is as good as you can get from an analog capture of a 23 year old VHS tape. These are made from the original VHS tapes, not tape to tape copies. Each DVD will have a thumbnail menu that you can use jump to any of the games that are indexed, about 20 per video. I do not plan on any fancy DVD case or artwork on the discs to keep costs down.

"A 3 DVD set with tips and tricks for playing and mastering a total of 60 of the hottest and best games for the Atari VCS, Atari 5200, Colecovision and Vectrex! Utilizing the actual sounds and graphics of each game, America's foremost videogame expert, Philip M. Wiswell, shows you how to improve your scores, and well as individual game strategies and fascinating behind-the-scenes information."

You will receive 3 DVDs that contain the following titles:

How to Beat Home Video Games - Volume I: The Best Games

How to Beat Home Video Games - Volume II: The Hot New Games

How to Beat Home Video Games - Volume III: Arcade Quality For The Home

Vol III is pretty cool because it contains Atari 5200, Colecovision and VECTREX, whereas Vol I and Vol II are exclusively Atari 2600 games, although third party manufacturers are represented pretty well.

Let's face it - these videos are pretty cheesy, low budget productions - however they are still interesting to watch. If you are not lucky enough to find the VHS tapes for this series, this is the next best thing! Definitely a must see for the collectors here!

Edit 7/21: Added DVD case and color label insert to all future orders, price slightly adjusted to accomodate this.

They are ready to ship ASAP @ $18 each, International airmail will be $21. Paypal preferred, pm for payment info.

    PM sent!

I've got one of these on VHS, I'd love to have the other two. If you're interested in selling them, let me know. For now, count me in as a customer for the DVD set.

I presume you mean here it will cost $18 in total for the DVDs and the postage to send them abroad? Just want to check before sending off some money...

Well it says "3DVD set" so I assume he's selling them all together for the one price.

Sorry for the confusion, the set of 3 DVDs are $15 shipped to USA and Canada, and $18 shipped internationally outside of these two areas. The price was not PER DVD, it's PER SET of 3!

I received my set today and the quality is excellent. I watched volume 1 and 3 all the through. I've already seen volume 2 because I have an original VHS copy.

Just wanted to update this thread - I have received very positive feedback from members who have received this set so far. I am glad that you all are enjoying the DVDs.

I had not planned on making a DVD case label insert for these discs, but I just finished one. If anyone wants to print their own insert to use on a standard DVD case, feel free to download this Adobe PDF file and print this out on a color printer using legal paper. All you have to do is cut it on the dotted lines and insert it into your standard size DVD case.

    http://www.filefarmer.com/retrogames...CaseInsert.pdf

I used a box scan and then did some color enhancement to some of the graphics. I added some text on the front and listed all the games on the back.

I have picked up a small quantity of standard size DVD cases that hold 4 discs. For those who ordered the DVDs from me, if you want one of these DVD cases with this color label insert shipped to you, I will send it to you at my total cost for postage and materials for $3.25, or as mentioned above just print your own for free!

All future DVDs will include the case with the label insert and the cost of the DVD set will be raised slightly to accomodate this.
