Hot Shots Golf F*^& - Why did they wreck my game?!

Hot Shots golf fore. What the F*^% were they thinking with these VOICE-OVERS?!!?!
They're HORRENDOUS. Not only do they say the same thing OVER AND OVER. But the accents are flat out OFFENSIVE.

Lin, one of my favorite characters, and the new japanese girl both sound like a 70 year old vietnam prostitute. I've played around 20 holes with each, and I SWEAR that Lin says "Make me a turtle!" after every shot, to which my caddie replies "It's like steering a queer's egg" and then the japanese ninja girl says "I'd bet on that horse"

I'm not exaggerating either, this is just flat out HORRIBLE. The game itself is better than ever,. and that's saying a lot, but without being able to turn these god-awful voices off, I dunno... I'm almost tempted to mod my console and import the jap version honestly...

From what I have seen/read, I think they did that on purpose (and I rather enjoy it).. the game tries to stray from the sim-golf style game like Tigerwoods 05 etc..

I really enjoyed it and its all the unlockables, I personally think its one of my favorite games of all time..

No, can't see that happening. They did a good job with oddball voices in HSG3, but this was just VERY cheaply and badly done.

The voices didn't bother me that much, when they annoyed me, I just turned on some music.

I've been concerned about the series because the last 2 games have not been up to the quality of the first two in the series.

And yes, the voice-over acting gets VERY annoying.

But hey. It's a "Hot Shots" game. I'm willing to forgive damn near anything.

I really wish the series would go back to the "normal" looking golfers of the first game, though. Bring back Iceman, dammit. I'm sick of these "badass" golfers.

Still the best golf game, I hope they don't switch over to that damned analog stick golf swing most other golf games use.

My only hopes for the next one would be:
Optional Japanese dialog, or GREATLY improved english ones.
Better character graphics (C'mon, these jaggies look like the end of PS1 era still)
A REAL mini golf course or 3 (ya know windmills, big apes, loop de loops, etc)

I guess that's about it really, everything else is still great. Maybe a couple more caddies.
