Nice find!
Regarding the review...
Oh, but it does get better than that- If Opcode's ColecoVision version plays half as good as it looks, then nothing short of the arcade machine(s!) can beat it.
Opcode's version plays *perfectly*. It's simply fantastic. You're gonna love it.Originally Posted by Aswald

I've got the SNES version, which is damn good, but the new colecovision collection tempts me to get one of those consoles for it alone.
Also, the same SNES space invaders game can be played by popping the game boy space invaders into the super game boy. Of course, there isn't the two player mode on that version.

Yep it sure do.. I have yet to find a difference in gameplay from the arcade version. Simply amazing
I had suggested Tempest as the next project, but now, methinks Donkey Kong would be better- after all, that was the pack-in game, so a great version would be really nifty.
Opcode's games certainly beat anything I'm capable of, even on the Commodore 64- Island of Foxes just doesn't compare to his Space Invaders. Neither did Vecktar, or Tunelayer (Vic-20).
Quite frankly, if I ever do manage to get the Commodore-64 version done, I'm going to need someone to translate it to the ColecoVision.
As for purchasing Space Invaders- not for a while, I'm afraid. Bejeweled is my next purchase, if I can save enough money.
