i don't understand why you'd want such a thing. The Saturn pad is perfection for 2D stuff.

You know that Genesis pads lack the shoulder buttons right?

I;m aware that they lack the shoulder buttons and that the saturn controller is better. I have a Sega Genesis controller that has programmable buttons and I wanna try it out using my Saturn(which has the genny cart slot too) That way I don't need to pull everything out. But alas it most likely doesn't exist.

Did you "heck" two systems together? If you didn't and are using a standard Saturn then you cannot play Genesis games. I can't think of any Saturn games that came in cart form. The cart slot is for memory and RAM upgrades and gameshark stuff.

No biggie. Last time I was in Toronto i saw a Saturn being sold that had a sign claiming "plays Genesis games too!" Maybe Saturn's in Canada can play Genesis games however doubtful.

It's possible. A friend of mine has a tiny unit that plays Sega CD's and Genesis so I assumed my Saturn did as well...the genesis cart almost fits in too and I rarely play my Saturn, but meh

Of course what's REALLY interesting is that the Saturn was designed to recognize Mega Drive controllers. Some brief information about that can be found here:

    http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/saturn.htm

And for the lazy here's the important text:

MegaDrive controllers (including the 3- and 6-button pads, mouse and TeamTap) as well as Saturn pads, keyboards and guns can be used on each port. While the SMPC (System Manager + Peripheral Control) chip automatically handles all the communication for these devices, it DOES tell the software what kind of device is attached, and these devices are not guaranteed to work in-game even though the hardware supports them. The pinout for connecting a MegaDrive controller to a Saturn is not known, but Sega's documentation says they are supported with this port.

your friend has a CDX, it was a large CD player that played SCD, GENESIS and Music CDs. no saturns play genesis games, none, ever.
