Jeopardy for Genesis Variant found

I found what appears to be a variant of the game. I'm unsure which is the variant, sorry!




They both have the same part number (T-83026), but they both have different boxes, cart labels, and manuals. Some noticeable differences between the two:

* The one on the right has the GameTek logo surrounded by a box; the one on the left doesn't. The logo is also slightly bigger on the one on the right.
* The one on the right has visible question marks all over the artwork background.
* The one on the left does -not- have "GameTek" printed on the spine.



* Both boxes have the same pictures and text in the back, but the font is different. Also, the one on the left has a smaller "GameTek" logo, and right next to it is a "Published by Ballistic" sticker.
* They have different company addresses. The one on the right has a Florida address, while the one on the left has a California address.
* The one on the right was made in Japan; the one on the left was assembled in Mexico (it says so on the box).


The manual is also slightly different. One of them was printed using darker colors, the paper quality is different, and the one on the right has the question marks clearly visible and a larger GameTek logo. They also have the different addresses.

So. Which is the variant and which is the original? My bet's on the one on the right (Florida, non-Ballistic release).

Ballistic (a division of Accolade) re-issued a handful of Genesis games. The original one would be the one without the Ballistic sticker.
