Default "Electronic Plastic" the book; any reviews?

Amazon.com in all it's artificial intelligence recommended THIS to me. Anyone have it/seen it, and can comment on how it is? Sounds like more of a coffee-table art book than anything else, but the premise is interesting. I would prefer if it focused on some of the rarer handhelds/tabletops. A list of included photographed games would be ideal ...

Found THIS link to the author's web site. Wow. Quite a collection he seems to have (if indeed they are his). Includes several pages of tiny scans from the book. Looks more pretty than informative, but that's about what you'd expect. I'll bite and post a review after it arrives.

Yea this book is mainly about the design. It's great to flip through the pages, excellent photos and book layout. There's not that much background text to go with everything. Still, I'm glad I got it a couple of years ago for my birthday ^^

I read about him in a mag last year.

The prices now are good - the cheapest copy on Amazon is sometimes 100+, so if you want it, I'd buy quickly.

Aah Jaro. He actually had me purchase one or two handhelds a couple years ago from a seller who wouldn't ship to Europe. I bought that book when it first came out a couple years ago. It's mainly coffee table style with lots of pretty pictures but very nice

Handhelds are one of my favorite things that I still have from when I was a kid.. although my collection is obviously dwarfed by his collecting ways

Man that site's been around for ages .. I think I first stumbled across it in 1996/7 or so?
