Who here likes broken portables?

My boyfriend stepped on my DS this morning.He was using it as an alarm clock.
He stepped on its left corner when it was closed, and shattered the upper screen.
Why cruel world, Why!?! And it was so young....

I remember someone saying they want broken systems to use for mods or something, but I cant find the thread.
Anyone?

Its such a shame. The lower screen is fine but the upper one is toast.

I was thinking the other day: If you dettached the upper screen of the DS (which is already useless on yours), you might have a pretty spiffy GBA. I wonder how well that would work... You'd have to move the speakers somewhere, or just use headphones. Anyway, you could still use it for backlit GBA games (and an alarm clock), couldn't you?

In any case, I feel your pain .
