    Default A few arcade-based questions

Got this one in the Knowledge base today:

Arcade Machines (Jamma-Based, Superguns, Pinball Machines, etc):
OK...I have quite a few questions... 1) I need artwork for some arcade games I want to restore. Where can I find artwork, especially side artwork. I need art for the games Tetris, Mortal Kombat, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Thunderblade. 2) One of the monitors is rolling...how can I fix this? I hear you just have to buy a simple part to install, but where and how? 3) Can you restore the playing field of a Dynamo airhockey machine? The top is very wore-out and I was hoping to repaint it somehow. Any suggestions? Thanks for reading and taking the time to ponder. I just hope I get some good answers!
I'll give 250 meseta for each part of this question that is answered properly. Post here please.

    Thanks!

I cross-posted them because neither forum gets read very much, and I really wanted to get the questions aswered for one of my Knowledge Base readers.

Although these aren't direct answers they are what has always worked for me.

    1) I've never found a reliable source (or one that had decent prices) for sideart outside of eBay. I see Tetris sideart there every couple weeks (unless someone finally bought it) and unless the repro art is really rare (none of the four listed games seem to be all THAT uncommon) expect to pay $30 - $70 for a pair of repro stickers. That's been my experence anyway.

    2) Nothing will help you more with arcade restoration / building MAME cabinets than the ArcadeControls.com forums. I usually don't deal with display problems myself, at least in the few cabs I've worked on, but they have an entire subsection for monitors alone...

I belive what you're looking for is called a cap kit, the forum will help more than I can. Also you may want to look for the horizontal and vertical adjustment POTs on the display board, usually if the only problem is rolling and not burn-in, adjusting the corrosponding POT (it'll be a little dial or screwhead on the board) will fix the problem.

As for number three, I don't know, hehe. Really though, the ArcadeControls forums should be able to answer just about anything. Also usually if you're looking for some obscure part someone there has one they'll sell for a fair price.

about the machine that scrolls the screen.

this is due to lack of sync can most commonly be fixed by turning one of the screws on the backside of the monitor itself (as this varays from machine to machine i cant tell you exacly wich one to turn)
    Broken? fix it.

That's what I said, the adjustment POTs.
