Default Anyone find something that turns out to be huge??

I'm at a local game store looking at random games, and make my way to the Atari 2600/Intellivision section. My jaw drops when I see that some wonderful collector has decided to sell off his complete vintage Intellivision collection and a few Atari 2600 games including:

    Atari 2600 -

    Q*Bert's Cubes - MINT, complete
Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back - MINT, complete
Basketball Sealed (not such a big deal, I know..)

    Intellivision -

Boxed, MINT System Changer - 2600
    Boxed, MINT Voice Synthesis Module
Sealed, MINT Burgertime (3 of them)
    Sealed, MINT Frogger
Sealed, MINT NFL Football (old type)
    Sealed, MINT Football (new type)

and, about 50-60 games, all in box, with manuals and overlays.

    Now here's the rub:

EVERY SINGLE sealed game was $3.99
EVERY SINGLE open/complete game was $1.99
    GAME CHANGER was $19.99
    VOICE MODULE was $9.99

Now, Austin is not famous for vintage games, nor have I been collecting anything other than NES for the last 5 plus years. So, to me, this all looks very, very cool.

I know that the Q*Bert Cubes game is a great find, and that complete games for about $2.00 are typically a good deal, but what I am hoping to find out from the panel of experts on this forum is:

"What games should I be looking for - if I should be looking out for any Intellivision games in particular, what would they be??"

Any help is appreciated (and since I don't have the Guide yet, that obvious answer will not help me much.) Thanks!

    Brit Boy,

I tried that - unless I am missing something, the list for Intellivision is the "Lite" version, and only displays the titles. Those lists that are found in the printed "Guide" are only available on the web in their condensed form.

    Thanks for the tip though.

I'll give you $10 for the Q*Bert's Qubes.

    C'mon, it's a HUGE profit for ya!

    Come on now Miss Kitty....

The Q*Bert's Cubes was the first thing I saw, and obviously the first thing I bought.

Seriously, I just was wondering if anyone knew what Intellivision games would be worth picking up (moreso than others.)

reminds me of the time i took a fellow DP user out to one of my video game fishing holes, the lady wanted $3 a 2600 cart, he wanted 2 and tried that old "all i have is this $5 bill" crap. she didnt bite and told him to A) borrow a dollar off me or B) decide which game he wanted and put the other back. so i gave him the buck, knowing full well he had the cash in his other pocket but i didnt want to embaress us any further. i went back to the store the next week and the lady asked me "where's your pal Mr.Cheap Pants?" now mind you she is a crazy old flea market troll but still...my point is those are actually fair prices, outright steals in some cases, sounds to me like you should take the prices and be glad for the bargins.

Nope, there are three "Gamefellas" in the Austin area. They sell games for all systems.

Today, I picked up Diner, Pole Position, Popeye, Chess and World Championship Baseball all complete in the box with manuals and overlays (the games look like brand new) for $1.99 each.

I had never collected Intellivision before yesterday, but it looks like I'm in!
