I'll bet I haven't bought a PC game in about 3 years.. how sad is that? (I still use a Pentium 850 w/32 meg vid card; mainly.. just to get online nowdays and buy MORE console games!)
Having said that.. I still own more PC games than my console collection (about 850) but I'll pass that someday. All my PC games are stored away in semi-haphazard fashion.. so rifling through them is a chore.
I've never been into "ultra-violent" games but the other day I decided to pick up copies of Manhunt and The Suffering for my Xbox (I can't stand GTA) and that got me to remembering a game I have.. but for the life of me.. can't remember what it was called. As I recall it came out about four years ago; never on consoles. A PC game that used the Quake or Quake II engine and it was LONG before GTA 3.. but you played a "street thug" in it. You beat up people using melee weapons and guns. It was kinda' controversial at the time and featured some kind of rap music in the soundtrack (Public Enemy?.. someone like that). Lot of swearing.. starts out with you getting beat up and left in an alley then you go out on the town and reek revenge. Had a one word title as I recall. I never finished it; but I enjoyed playing it and would like to find it again. I also recall you could ride a motorcycle in it. I'm sure somebody will recognize this in a heartbeat.
My thanks to all for your time & attention.
