Default Sega CD side by side: Door spring?

I got a Sega CD a few days ago from some lady leaving a pawn shop (they wouldn't buy it) for $10.00 I came with a system 2 genesis (throw it on the pile ) 2 6 button sega controllers actually nice, Sewer Shark and only one PSU. The unit works BUT!

The spring that would open the door is gone, I could always use the unit for parts for my MIB side by side but I wouldn't mind selling it off as I already have a parts piggyback and MIB piggyback (way cooler.) Anyone know a place that sells different types of springs?

You might try scavenging a similar looking protable CD player from somewhere. I've seen a lot of them in thrifts around here. Maybe you can use the spring or cut it down to size.

a sega CD door has a pretty hefty spring compared to a portable CD player. The sega cd lid is 10 times heavier then most protable CD lids.

Yeah, I mean like an old school Sony Discman branded type. Those have heavy lids.
