Yep, cheers for that
are these discs actually worth anything?
i've got all 3 of them (gamecube, ps2, xbox) laying around somewhere... the xbox one is even sealed still i think. i don't even own an xbox or ps2 and have no use for those discs. if i tried to sell them, would they even go for a worthwhile amount, or is this gamecube one at $11 a pretty good indicator that they're crap...?
Good luck Mayhem. Get that demo!
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

The Cube one is definitely worth something. Hardest demo to find, and according to Mayhem, this is possibly the first time one's appeared on ebay.Originally Posted by DocRamon

How was this available? What I mean is what did you have to do to get one of these? Was a Nintendo.com thing?
I got my 3 off ebay as a bundle for like $25, and I've seen this disc (the gamecube one) listed two other times by itself, and 2 more times bundled with other demos for gamecube or other systems.Originally Posted by Queen Of The Felines

oh, and philosophyst... these were just sent out to retailers like any other kiosk disc, i believe. though, not as many were mailed out and most retailers didn't bother to use them because compilation demo discs already included the sc2 demo. as a result, i'm sure many of these got trashed.
Namco provided all GameStop stores with a single set of these to put inside their interactive arcades. It was to help promote reservations.
I remember having them running in all three systems at the same time, and we'd have fun trying to get them to play the music in tandem. Which was difficult because they had varied load times.
I still have the GameCube and PS2 one, but the XBox one went to someone else.
Looks like Mayhem won it
