    Default nascar and f1 racers

I am looking for suggestions on a new F1 racing sim and maybe a new stock car game
    Currently i play
chase for the cup 2005 (xbox)
nascar thunder 2004 (pc with sidewinder forcefeedback wheel)
f1 racing (saturn with arcade racer wheel)
    pgr 2 xbox

I am thinking about getting Forza and maybe a xbox wheel

Anyone wanna comment on their favorite racing sim?? expecially F1 type pc games
I would love to hear your opinions

    Basically you got two choices.

Grand Prix Legends is by far the best. Simulates the 1967 Formula One season and still has a large number of fans and lots of user created content even after 7 years. And with the graphic updates, it still looks current.

For modern Formula One, you're basically limited to EA's F1 series. F1 2002 or its sequel, F1 Challenge 99'-20'. Some people enjoyed Grand Prix 4, but most thought it had poor unrealistic physics and little else besides nice weather effects and more accurate tracks than EA's games.

For stockcars, Papyrus's NASCAR Racing 2003 Season is by dfar the best and most realistic NASCAR sim.

There's also several other good sims out for the PC. Richard Burns Rally, Rally Trophy, GTR, rFactor, and the upcoming GT Legends come to mind.

If you don't mind outdated graphics, NASCAR Heat, IndyCar Racing II/CART Racing, and NASCAR Legends are fine games as well.

Even though it has been surpassed in visuals, my favorite F1 game is still the original "Formula 1" on the PlayStation. It's built upon the 1995 Formula 1 season (ahhh, can still race at the Aida circuit) and instead of incar team communications, you get a British announcer doing commentary on the race (sounds a bit like David Hobbs). It also supports Namco's neGcon controller and very tight and accurate controls.

Grand Prix legends has a very steep learning curve however :<
If you can stick with it its very rewarding, but personally the lure of Daytona, Ridge racer and Toca pro race driver proved too strong.

F1 games seem to be a dying breed unfortunately.

I say get yourself Forza and the Logitech Nascar wheel for XBox. You won't see the sun again for days.

Toca 2 has quite a few different classes of vehicles, ranging from formula racers to semi truck cabs. I'm not sure how the control on the XBox version is, but on the PS2 with a Logitech force feedback wheel, it's freakishly realistic.
