Made these for two Famicom games I simply housed in NES cases.
My camera sucks, sorry for the low quality pictures.. the labels look 95% real.

Nice Work =)
Nice job on them both!
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
Thanks!!
I was going to have them printed on photo paper but I didn't think it would look very good, it wouldn't look like a real NES label. So I just printed them on regular paper and ran a thin, clear packing tape over the print. Be sure to go over the tape with a roller or bottle or something to thin it out and get any air out of it. Then I just glue sticked the hell out of the back and pressed them on, again using a roller or bottler to flatten it as best as possible. Be sure that you get a good amount of glue on the corners as they tend to like to be a pain.
These printed at 144 DPI and while they look good could look better. The Transformers cart if a gift for a friend but I'm going to redo the Tower of Druaga label at 300 DPI as it's going in my personal collection. The other minro gripe I had was the Nintendo SOQ was a little too yellow/orange and not gold.
My next labels will be:
The Goonies I
Crisis Force
Gradius II

Ah ok, like that. How do you open the Famicom carts btw? Dont you have to destroy the back label to reach the screws?
Famicom carts don't have screws.. they're just held together with plastic tabs.. if you wedge a flathead into the side and pry at it you can get them to open up without any damage if you want to keep the original case intact.Originally Posted by jajaja

Ah.. didnt know that. Thanks for the tip Im pretty sure someone here told me that there was a screw behind the label on the back of the cartridge because I asked once how to open famicom carts.
Those look really good. I'm wondering how collaging a seal of quality from a magazine ad would look on a homemade label. If done right you couldn't tell it was a cut out, and you'd definately have a 100% match on the colors.
And maybe my printer just sucks, but don't you get a pattern across the pure black blocks of color?
Could be.. each publisher has their own case design.. of the four Famicom to Nintendo conversions I've done, all of them were held together by tabs.Originally Posted by jajaja

Your printer probably sucks.. or just can't handle solid black well. I have no printer so I just hit up Kinko's. I have the color right for the seal now. Just needed to lower the red color to get it closer to gold/brown. Looks fantastic now and I can't wait to finish it up and reprint it. But of course I have to Goo Gone the label I already put on there. Ugh.Originally Posted by Daria

Wow, nice job on the labels. I used to do this kind of stuff with VHS tapes back in the day, but it never looked as professional as yours. very nice

you don't happen to cram roms into carts as well, do you? it would be nice if i could find a person to do that AND make a custom label for a game i want.
Those look awsome! Nice pics!

Great job! Very pro-looking.
Does anyone know a way to make labels that are the same gloss and thickness as real NES labels? Or would I probably have to go to a label company?

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
From the pics I couldn't even tell the difference.
Those look like real. Cool job.
damn those look cool. What are those, home-made games too or what?
Cool. I want to do something like that for a few Super Famicom to Super NES conversions.
