I saw that goatdan started the topic of the Halo series books, which made me think of the Resident Evil book series. There are about 7 of them, each about 250-300 pages long. Has anyone ever read any of these? What are your thoughts?

I have read some of them. Didn't realise they did seven though (What are they BTW?)
I loved the written versions of Resi I and Resi II, but wasn't too keen on the ones which came inbetween which were just "Made up" stories, unlike the others which were virtually adaptations of the actual games.
I liked ho wthey incorporated a new character, Trent, into the storylines, who showed up at just the right time to aid our hero's / heroine's. For once, an change for the better (Unlike the films)
They also give a little more insight into the specific game story being told. Ie, the Resi II book was very in depth, and covered a lot more than the game, and explained a few things too.
Love to read more if only I could find them. Is there a box set with them all in?
I've read them all... good books... I really enjoyed the ones that weren't based on the games...
The seven books are...
The Umbrella Conspiracy
Caliban Cove
City of the Dead
Nemesis
Code: Veronica
Underworld
Zero Hour
I really hope they do a novelization of Resident Evil 4 next...
THATinkjar has some IIRC.
Ive got book number 2 if you want any pics or such...?
Indeedy! I have six, and I think there are seven. I bought them off Amazon. I've still to give them a read, though. I'll start tonight.Originally Posted by Cauterize

All were pretty decent. The "made up storyline" one where they find an underground Umbrella lab in the desert and theres a Trex Tyrant is kinda dumb though.

The only one that I have read so far is Resident Evil Zero Hour, which I bought off of Amazon.com for about $4. It is a great book, it details everything that the game does (based on Resident Evil Zero) and much more. I am going to get the next one soon, and read them all in order.
