Basiclly just a headset that turns the game off when they aren't paying attention.

This was in USA Today I think about a week ago. That's where I first saw it. The scary thing is they don't include the PS2 in that pricing. Definitely going to be a tough item to track down.

Oh my god it's the Next-Gen Mind Link! This won't be that rare, but it will probably be pricey down the road.

Damm I would never make it through a game. Hell I even switch the TV input to cabel and watch TV while waiting to start my next rumble pit game.

Sheesh. I wouldn't last long on that. I've got such a short attention span, I sometimes read a book during loading screens.

    ...what were we talking about?

    Anyway, a stupid joke:

How many kids with ADD does it take to change a lightbulb?

    ...

    WANNA GO RIDE BIKES?

That is one of the craziest accessories I have ever seen, I don't think anyone will like them because noone i know looks at the tv the entire time. I wanna know what happens if you gotta go to the bathroom, go for a leak and your game is gone.

I actualy feel bad for the kid whose parents make him use this. He'll probly never finish a game or totaly lose the ability to multitask :/ Besides, wandering minds while playing video games usualy = creative thoughts. Dang...it's like some sort of sick toture device

Is there REALLY that much of a demand for something like this? I wonder if the company actually did its market research before designing this, or if it was the typical "engineer with too much time on his hands" who just assumed it would sell.

Well what if the health insurance would pay for it. They would sell a ton of them then. Might never be used and just stored away in a closet.

I've got to agree with everyone that says that this won't work very well. Personally, I don't have ADD, but I'll be the first to admit that half the time when I'm playing a game, I'm not concentrating on it 100%. The other day, I was playing Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis while making and eating lunch.

I suppose this could have the effect of FORCING the child to focus all of their attention at one spot for an extended period of time, but wouldn't EXTREME focusing be the opposite of ADD? Where you couldn't think about anything but one task at hand? I'm sure there would also be some problems with that.

    *sigh*

so wait, they don't sell any games.

If you want a good add game, have them play warioware, the minigames are short enough that even the guy from the movie memento could play them

    I envision something like this:

Kid puts on helmet, turns on ps2.
    Plays game for 5 minutes.
    Game suddenly cuts off.
    Kid takes helmet off.
    Goes and does something else.

And this helps with ADD? Sounds like it embraces it.

Oh boy, a helmet attached to a third-party controller is going to be an R8 in the future.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
