No offense to you kind sir, but if I had a gamepiece that would get me a real sweet prize or cash, why in Gods' earth would I sell it to somebody. I suppose if it were for a 52 inch television and someone offered me $1500 for the gamepiece, I might do it. I've seen people on different sites doing the same thing and I wonder, if people actually think others are that dumb, ah who knows. Good luck anyway, if somebody does give you the winning piece, give us their name.
Cheers
Mark

There is only one "rare" piece for each color set. If you actually get that piece it basically tells you that you win and even gives the redemption information on the game piece.
yeah I got curious and looked up the odds there are 199 Mediterranean pieces out there. and that is the most of all of the prizes.

might be easier if you just put down the price you're willing to pay for the piece.
then the person can decide if its easier to just sell it, than having to wait for the prize and then sell or give it away.
Always looking for more SMS. And Resident Evil too.
Or there could be none out there since all of the big wigs rigged the game so that only them and their family members will win.....again.Originally Posted by BTHOTU

I'd read this, too. I don't even bothered keeping the tabs anymore unless they're for free food.Originally Posted by sisko
Exactly, when was the last time that they actually advertised the winners of the big prizes? You think that they would to boost sales for the next time they did it.
On an unrelated note, the first year that they did the Monopoly thing we got a bunch of reject cups in where I work all with the tabs intact. We ate a lot of free McD's that year.
i had that piece, along with baltic the first year they had the mcdonalds game! too bad the prize was a glass monopoly mug!

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!
If I'm not mistaken, I think the last time Mickey D's had the Monopoly game, it was rigged-duh. But someone found this out and charged McDonald's with false advertisement or something, so McDonald's had to randomly give out $1 million smackers. Imagine walking into a restaurant for a burger and walking out with a full stomach and a million bucks.

It wasn't the "big wigs." It was if I recall correctly a security officer with the firm that made the game peices. That guy got the peices and then sent them to people around the country who would claim the prizes and send him some kickback for it. The FBI figured out something was up, and the final Monopoly game that was rigged like this was conducted with McDonalds and the FBI knowing full well the game was rigged so they could capture them "red handed." After that was over, McDonalds hired a new firm to do the Monopoly game (which I believe took over peices for it last year) and did the million dollar giveaway thing to random McDonalds customers to make up for the fact that the Monopoly game was rigged.Originally Posted by dieourumov
There were lawsuits that came about them doing false advertising, but because both McDonalds and the FBI weren't sure if this guy was behind it, they weren't at fault.
Claiming that they were would be like saying that GameStop advertises Zelda: Twilight Princess as coming out this year, so a bunch of people make preorders. Then, it is pushed back and pushed back, and eventually cancelled. Did GameStop false advertise it? Well, yes. But since they fully intended on delivering, they weren't at fault. Same deal here.
