Each copy will consist of a high-quality color instruction manual and a professionally produced cartridge (NTSC & PAL compatible) enclosed within a plastic clam-shell case complete with color insert.

Bah. Saw the title and was hoping the game was released. Don't really see how this is "news" as it doesn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Nice to see the project hasn't died though. Can't wait until release day- now when is that gonna be anyway? :P

It's a translation of an unlicensed game originally released in Taiwan by T&E Soft.

More like a translation + major bugfix + script rewrite.

The game was originally produced by our business partner, C&E, Inc., in 1996 and released for a short time (in Taiwan only). It enjoyed moderate success in Taiwan; many Taiwanese gamers have very fond memories of it. We hope to recreate that success, and moreso, with the official English release.

I reviewed a prerelease version of Beggar Prince in the latest issue of Hardcore Gamer Magazine, which should be in bookstores soon. In the meantime you can check it out in the free .pdf version if you'd like - the review's on page 30.

Overall I thought the game held up remarkably well against other RPGs on the Genesis, and the similarities to Lunar: The Silver Star are what really hooked me in particular. Good luck with the release, Brandon!

Our customers in Europe are very important to us. Anyone, anywhere will be able to order the game directly from our website - but in addition to this, we are looking into localized solutions for our global customers - especially those in England.

What would be UBER - cool would be if you had PAL packaging for the ones you ship to the UK.

I realise its a pipe-dream but it would keep me happy.
Especially if it was the blue box packing

lol I am more interested in how the game is getting published.

40 bucks isn't in my budget of snes/genesis games...(hopefully later it will be)

Is this a one time deal, or will more new cart games be produced?

We have other cartridge-based games in mind, sure - but only time will tell what happens in the end. I don't want to make any promises I can't keep about possible future releases.

So, what's the word on Beggar Prince?

Aside from the one magazine review I saw (from Sardius) and some mentions on the 'net, has anyone here played it yet?

Anymore info on this game? Anyone?

    ps
Yeah, I visited the official site, it doesn't appear to have been updated since October....

I remember this project, the guy went on the Whirlpool mesage board a few months ago advertising it. He baisacly called the entire translation scene a bunch of punk teenage pirates and at the same time tried to get the same people he insulted to take interest.

I give this whole project a big meh.

Do you have a link for the Sardius review or a scan of it?
