    Default Dreamcast Controller on Playstation?

    Hello ladies and gentlemen.

I am wondering if anyone knows of an adapter that enables the use of a Dreamcast controller (specifically, the Agetec Arcade Stick) on the Playstation 2.

I know there are tons of converters that let you use PS2 Controllers on the DC, but I want to go the other way.

    Thanks!

No, there is not one. Believe me. I tried for a long time to find one. They do not exist.

Your best bet is to cut the fucker open, put in some arcade parts (Sanwa/Seimitsu) and solder them to a Playstation controller PCB since the Agetec is a HUUUUGE piece of shit. Shoryuken.com forums have a lot of useful links.

Just grab your package, cough, and do it. Believe me, you'll punch yourself in the balls for not doing it any sooner. If you want to play seriously w/ games that require good control (shooters and fighters) you should really upgrade the stick. It is not hard. Just takes a little time and effort. I've got a few of them now... it's kind of become a hobby.

I can send you some links if you want.

The goblin isn't too bad of a stick on it's own... it's one of the better stock sticks, but GaijinPunch is right... if you wanna feel the difference in control/comfort, you should upgrade to Sanwa/Seimetsu...

Alternatively you can always make yourself an adapter... but I don't even want to get into that.

the adaptor does exist, my friend found one when he was in Taiwan in 2002 or so. Of course you can find almost anything there.

Well, there was a guy in Japan that made some homebrew ones that required a 9V AC adaptor and had to be restarted every time you started a new game, but I wouldn't say they exist. "Not really attainable" is a better way to say it. Every stick needs a Sanwa or Seimitsu though.
