Today was quite a nice day:

I was going to head over to a goodwill I was at earlier this week to see if they still had some common 5200 games I found for their half off saturday. Before I headed there though, I went to go waste some time at a nearby swap meet.

First thing I found from a dealer was:

    Atari 7800 - Water Ski (loose) - 4

    Not bad...slightly rare.

Then as I neared the far back of the lot I found:

    Colecovision ADAM computer - 14

The guy wanted twenty for it, but I offered him the rest of my cash and he took it. The system is CIB and comes with all the foam dividers, every single part, absolutely everything. Included is:

    The cassette player deck.

Keyboard w/ Coleco Game controller & docking bay.

    Printer.

A ton of complete cassette games, a few loose ones. Mostly applications, but there were two games.

    Unopened Ribbon Cartridge.

    CIB Adamlink Modem.

Now let me tell you my fellow dpers....hauling this thing back to the damn car was one of THE MOST strenuous things I've done in quite some time. This thing was HEAVY. Basically bearhugged it and walked it to the parking lot, lol.

Afterwards, I went to that goodwill and they had no 5200 games left surprisingly. I figured they wouldn't sell at 4 bucks for common titles but they sure did. So, in the end, my "killing time" stop turned out to be rather killer.

Killed time until 10 am this morning by hitting a few rummage sales and Goodwills...at one rummage I got mint, complete copies of Gamecube Kirby's Air Ride and Xbox Ninja Gaiden for 5 bucks each. At a Goodwill, I found a loose N64 Paperboy for $2.99.

Then, once 10 rolled around I went to a few Gamestops after hearing yesterday that new N-Gage games were going for $6.99 each in the 50% off bin. Sure enough, found 25 different, complete N-Gage games at one store in the 50% off bin, along with a pair of headphones at the same price. Went to another, and they had pulled their selection off the floor, but the guy went and got the box, and I found 8 more I didn't yet have. He was surprised to see them ring up at $6.99 each, and then I asked if they would be 50% off as well. He said he didn't think so, but I showed him the reciept from the other store and he said what the heck.

So that makes 33 complete games plus headphones for just under $120.00 (Felt good to blow some of that cash I made at Sean's last week!). Now I just need to find the stupid phone! Here's the goods:

    and the list of titles:

    Asphalt Urban GT
    Bomberman
    Call of Duty
    Colin McRae Rally 2005
    Crash Nitro Kart
    FIFA Soccer 2004
    FIFA Soccer 2005
    Glimmerati
    King of Fighters Extreme
    Marcel Desailly Pro Soccer
    Moto GP
    Operation Shadow
    Pathway to Glory
    Pocket Kingdom
    Puyo Pop
    Puzzle Bobble
    Rayman 3
    Red Faction
    Requiem of Hell
    Roots: Gates of Chaos
    Shadowkey: The Elder Scrolls
    SonicN
    Spiderman 2
    Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
    SSX: Out of Bounds
    Super Monkey Ball
    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 20041
    Tomb Raider
    Virtua Tennis

Finally picked up something that is older than I am.

    Bally's Fireball circa 1971:

My Dad bought this at a garage almost 20 years ago for around $200. He hardly ever played and pretty much it's been in storage. After his passing last year my stepmom said I could have it but I had to wait until we got into our new home because of limited space.

From what I've been able to learn I believe this was the very first pinball game to have the center spinner.

It's playable put needs all new rubber parts for the various bumpers. The cabinet is good shape and there is only some edges that show wear on them.
We saved some guy's life. Killed some vicious murdering lichs and blew up something big. I'd call that a pretty good night.

They actually gave you that? Heck, my boss and assistant manager would throw a fit if that DDR Mario thing was given away lol Still, it's pretty nice, but be warn, it's a pain to replace the batteries on that little sucker!
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
