I tried Google's wonderful translation software and got this:

Release is planned from Bio Force Ape Seta.
I have three issues did not play.
Clear conditions are different for each face is clear I go through each goal in terms of three has failed.
Disk system uses a shell for developing infrastructure so.
I can not save no such claim without any description, no thank you in return.

Be contacted within 48 hours, only five people bidding thank you 振Ri込Meru days. The shipment size and weight, Yu-mail will be Yu-Pack etc..
    Um, yeah, ok... what?

I can't believe i'm even bothering to go through this, but here it goes...

Rotate the photo so it's straight. Draw a line from the first pixel of the first letter "T" in "press start" to the first pixel in the second "T". There are 56 pixels between the three letters, so to scale it, each 8 pixel area on the screenshot takes up 18.667 pixels of the photo.

Luckily, right near the "press start" you can see both edges of the screen. From edge to edge is 564 pixels. Using our calculation above, that means the screen is roughly 241 pixels wide. That's close enough to the resolution of 256 pixels we expected, allowing for some to be chopped off by the CRT. So our 18.667 to 8 ratio is probably pretty close.

Using the same calculation we can measure the ape's head to be 76 pixels wide by 84 pixels tall. We'll round that to the closest 8x8 block and assume the picture is actually 80x80 pixels. For reference, the butter monster in the competition cart is only 48x48 pixels.

Scaling dur butter to 80x80 pixels and dumping him in the same corner as the ape's head, the scale matches up.

The one thing that makes me really question the picture is the detail in the crow's feet near the ape's eye. If you assume those lines are 1 pixel, then the image has too many pixels in it to be 80x80. One pixel on the NES would take up .45 pixels in the picture.

Unfortunately the picture is too low resolution to tell for sure. I still think it's fake, but that may be more wishful thinking then fact. It certainly passes ever test i can think to run against it.

That's the first time the guy has sold any video games as far as I know, but his feedback is stellar, he got to level 3 but could not pass it, and that's about it. Hopefully in a few hours all will be well in butter land.

In this day and age, you would think that he'd post a video or something. One menu screenshot isn't much proof for this kind of thing.

It's an FDS dev cart, right? Can't you write those over pretty easily? I'm more inclined to believe that it's a recent homebrew than an authentic prototype.

It's actually not an FDS RAM adaptor, but an official Nintendo Famicom dev board. They jammed the board into FDS RAM adaptor cases, for obvious reasons...

, I really don't think random Japanese guy decided to look at the craziness of Bio Force Ape on DP and make a homebrew. That thing is as real as it gets.

Ahhhh. After all this time we may actually figure out if this has an ending. Programming Ace, that's one hell of a Murphy's Law ruling if this turns out to be real.

    You're telling me...

One day after the competition cart goes on sale, and way before I have any chance to finish the final game.

If nothing else, you're incorporating the buttery storyline in your homebrew version, right? I mean, what chances are there the real game will have our villain eating Communism? Right? Right...?

Did they (Lost Levels) get their $$ back?
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Somewhere there's a room full of Japanese game collectors laughing and humping their anime-girl pillows.

We're pretty sure it was Mimi Nakamura who orchestrated the scam.

Well, looks like we have another scammer to hunt down and mercilessly beat- I mean, bring to justice!

Seriously, LL got fucked BIG TIME. Someone should report this to the authorities, because this is the worst late April Fools prank I've ever heard of.
