I hope no DP members bid on this. This guy is selling 266 copied games with some ok accessories. Makes me mad when I see people on ebay get away with this.

How can u tell its copies?
Possibly the fact that there are no instruction manuals, only "Insert covers". I know that many local bootleggers don't bother with manuals and only include a badly cut, halfassed color printout of the cover art.
I don't know if these games -are- legit or not. However, the CDs displayed in one of the pictures have the art printed in what appears to be the very edge of the disc, and I've never seen any PSX CD that does that. Most only have art until oh, five or so millimeters from the edge of the disc.
Again, I'm NOT sure. People who know more about the PSX should check this auction to be sure.
Bootlegs.
This is what Tomba! really looks like:

If one is bootlegged, they all are probably bootlegged.
I asked him a question about bootlegs, straight up, and this is what he said:
Hello, I added a couple of new pictures of some of the games. I hope this helps. The discs are all placed in a wallet case, like I mentioned in the description, no cases comes with this package. As far as all of the games being bootlegs, I'm not too sure about that. I never had the need of buying more games because everything is pretty much here. Needless to say, I have no idea as far as the difference between the original or bootlegs. As far as I know the quality of the games are crisp, lighting, graphics, and sound is perfect.
I hope this helps and answered your questions. Thank you and have a nice day. Feel free to check out the pictures of the game that I added on.
Ask him if the discs are black on the bottom. (If they aren't then they are copies. If they are black, well they sell black cdrs). Or ask him to show a close up of one of the discs. Original discs have the product code (SLPS#) printed on the front.
Anyhow, I knew they were copies because of the inserts and obviously the pictures of the cds. Plus he listed some compilation games which were released as a pirated version.
Edit: After closer look I'm 99% positive that these are 'HK' copies. Meaning they aren't CDrs but true pressed silver CDs that he purchased overseas. I thought the CDs had labels on them at first, but at second glance I noticed they aren't labels at all. Therefore if someone asks if they are black on the bottom, he will say no.
Just did. Will post his answer when he emails me backOriginally Posted by PS1Expert
I think it's pretty safe to assume that any PSX lots including dozens/hundreds of games will be bootlegs unless the seller goes out of their way to specify otherwise.
They're all bootlegs. Every single one of them.
Besides the insanely obvious poor cover artwork on the discs, he has several "3 in 1 games" were piraters figured out how to get 3 psx games on 1 cd.
You can also see form the 'inserts' like the Action Bass, the company logo has been replaced by a 'pirate' logo....usually the Pistons(?) Basketball logo with ther word "PLAYERS" in it. I've seen some other ones too.
Buyer beware.
They'll remove lightspan stuff, but keep this.
Jason
It's even worse when they have multiple auctions of their bootlegs. I found an auction for Rondo of Blood and the guy has about 5 of them up for sale.

My question: Are the cds black on the bottom?
His answer: "The bottom of the disc is in silver. However, the quality and sound is perfect. I'm not exactly sure if these discs are playable in other Playstation system because I never tried it. I hope this answered your question. Thank you."
I aksed if they were burned or originals and this was his answer:
To be honest with you I'm not sure. Since I never bought any games for this system, I can't tell if they're originals or not. As far as I know though, they're all playable. Quality is crisp, not blurry or dark. Sound is perfect also. I hope this answered your question. Thank you for your inquiry. If you have any more questions please let me know. Have a nice day.
I'm sure that they are all copies. Why can't people just be honest?
