    Default Shipping Costs

I usually don't make a big deal about shipping or anything like that, but here is something I found pulled directly from an auction:

WE DO NOT COMBINE SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES DUE TO THE FACT THAT OUR AUCTIONS START AT 99 CENTS. PART OF THE SHIPPING CHARGE WILL ACTUALLY COVER THE COST OF THE MOVIE.
What kind of crap is that?

Charge for shipping what is costs to ship, don't drop the price to .99 to avoid ebay fees, even give out crappy shipping:
To cut on shipping cost, movie will be shipped in a dvd sleeve and protected by a bubble-cushioned mailer. You will receive the dvd, the cover insert and the dvd sleeve.
To cut on shipping costs but then charge you for the item in shipping.

    Here is the auction:
Star Wars Episode 4 IV: A New Hope NEW DVD!!!!

I thought it would be cool to buy all 6 movies on dvd since I own 4 out of the 6 on vhs.

Sorry, I am not a venter, but noticed this and was a little unhappy with it.

Many sellers charge a little more for shipping then it actually costs to cover their expenses, others charge a lot more and others do so to avoid eBay's fees. I know that its against eBay rules to do so but as long as the seller makes it perfectly clear up front how much they're charging for shipping I personally don't see the big deal. Use the items final cost (product cost plus shipping) to determine if you're getting a good deal or not. If you aren't getting a deal or just don't like the policy then just move on and don't bid on it.

Who gives a shit? It's a good idea. eBay gouges you on seller's fees.

Guess what kiddies? Just figure the shipping price into the final price. If you don't like the total sum, DON'T BUY IT. An item with high shipping will have a low ending price. The same item for low shipping will have a high ending price.

It's understandable that people will use shipping to get a little money back, but then there are the people that charge $10 s/h for the smallest items.

Not bidding on it is the only option you have, because the seller sure as hell won't care what you have to say about it.

My shipping costs usually have about sixty extra cents to cover eBay and Paypal raping- er, fees. I charge flat fees most of the time because of it. Nothing too fancy. *shrugs*
